  Hello friends! I get to share such a fun release with you all today, from the Taylored Expressions Easter Release . I think there is a little something for everyone. Make sure you head on over to the website today to see whats new! For this first card, I wanted to use colors I typically don't use together but are bright, colorful and scream spring. The cardstock was cut and scored to 4.25 x 5.5 inches. To begin the Pennant Parade stamp was stamped directly on top of the card base. Using the clear stamps from the Pennant Parade East Set, the pennants were stamped multiple times with different ink colors. They were cut out and set aside. The sentiment was stamped in black ink, and the the little elements around the banner were stamped as well before the pennants were adhered to the card using foam adhesive.  I love it when a cared turns out exactly how you picture it in your mind.   Hello Friends! Here we are at another month. Can you believe it? Its February 2021! I am so ready for spring and warm weather. Here in Florida we have had cold, grey, rainy weather for months now. Not a typical warm winter at all. So, when I saw the Taylored Expressions releases for February, I was so excited!  Today's post is all about St Patrick's Day, green, shamrocks, luck and rainbows. All things that I love. Let's dig in to the details of this card. The background was created by ink blending 3 different green inks onto a green card base. By using different tones of the same color, it creates a nice depth to a simple card. The diecuts were layered with foam adhesive and twine was added to embellish.  What is St Patrick's Day without a rainbow? I knew I wanted to create a subtle rainbow on one of my cards. Hello friends. For those who celebrate I hope you enjoy this Easter weekend. How are all of you doing? Quarantine is weird. Some days I am fine and some days I find myself really missing my friends. Missing a great meal at my favorite restaurants or even just the simple pleasure of grocery shopping. Everything seems so stressful. But, I am so thankful that I have a craft room where I can escape and make pretty cards to send out.  Today my friend Laurie Willison has a new line of dies from Spellbinders called Effortless Greetings.  These are made to be use with the Glimmer Machine. The Glimmer Machine allows you to letterpress foil onto your projects.  For this blue card. I used the Framed Details hot glimmer plate. It has this sweeping branch leaves plate as well as a double rectangle frame (that I will show on other projects below), that I foiled in gold. After living in Florida for over 10 years, and my husband being in the Navy, its easy to say I love all things nautical. This Smooth Sailing stamp set from Lawn Fawn has anchors, sailboats, lighthouses, and wonderful sentiments.  There is something really eye catching when you use pink/orange/yellow together. It kind of reminds me of a sunset. That is the inspiration from this card, is the cotton candy sunset you see when visiting the coast of California. The sailboat and anchors were stamped in black ink, and then colored in using Copic markers. The banners and the images were all adhered to the card with foam adhesive for added dimension. Hello friends! Today I am sharing a card using the stamp set called Llama Tell You from Lawn Fawn . This is a 2x3 inch stamp set (and only $4!!). I love that with such a small stamp set I can fill an entire card.  The llamas were stamped in black ink onto white cardstock and then colored in with Copic Markers. I cut out the llamas with scissors instead of die cutting them. Before the llamas were adhered to the card front with foam adhesive, the sentiment was stamped in black ink at the bottom of the card. At first adding black twine seemed like it would finish and embellish the card well, but then decided to use enamel heart stickers, in coordinating colors. Happy St Patricks Day! Today over on the Lawn Fawn Blog the designers are sharing this Duck/Chick add on die set. It is meant for a box, but I wanted to show that it can go onto anything, so I put it on a little tote bag. This is the perfect bag to put a treat in for Easter! Yesterday the stamp and die set called Rawrsome was showcased. I created a fun no line watercolor scene. This is the perfect stamp set to create any card/tag for anyone who loves dinosaurs! My kids would have flipped out when they were little if they saw this stamp set!

  If you are a person who loves to color, coloring in this image was so therapeutic.  Currently I have family and friends who have had to evacuate their homes in CA, due to wildfires.  I have been addicted to updates online and on television.  So to sit down, and just color was so good for my soul.  Plus, who doesn't love to color in a flower, it is just happiness. The images was stamped onto white cardstock, using black ink.  Make sure you use an ink that is compatible with whatever your coloring medium is.  Then I colored in the image with copic markers.  I added a few enamel dots for added interest and embellishments, and adhered the panel with foam squares for depth.   This set is called Sunny Flowers from Technique Tuesday .  Its a 3 x 4 inch stamp set, with this large image, a lady bug, a few sentiments and a coordinating die set.  To see the full reveal head on over to the Technique Tuesday blog ! Hello there! I am so excited to share this card with you today! Technique Tuesday has another day of stamps and dies being showcased.  I am sharing the Butterly on the border die .  I placed the die along the edge of the card, secured it into place (washi tape) then ran it through the die cutting machine.  This left the card with a beautiful edge with a cut butterfly and embossed image.  I placed a piece of pink cardstock behind the front of the card to help make the border pop. Hello Friends! I hope you all are ready for a new and fun week! Currently I am across the US in California, but I wanted to share this card I recently made.  One night I was just playing around with stamps and watercolors, and this is what I ended up with.  Watercoloring is a fairly new medium for me, so I try to stretch myself creatively as much as I can.  Just a little bit of flowers to brighten your day! I used the Simply You Stamp Set from Technique Tuesday to create this card.  I stamped the images with VersaFine onyx black ink, because once it dries its waterproof.  Then watercolored over the images with Daniel Smith water colors, and embelished with ribbon. Hello friends! Technique Tuesday is having a big release of new stamps and dies.  If you have been following along on the TT blog , then you might have seen a few images of the sets.  I am sharing a card using the Lilac stamp set.  This set is a mini set, I don't know the measurements off hand, but I'm pretty sure its a 3 x 4 inch stamp set.  There is the big lilac image, a few petals, and then some wonderful sentiments.   When creating this card, I had a friend in mind who could use a little bit of happy mail.  So, I spent a little extra time coloring it all in. The lilac image was stamped several times in a light grey ink, as well as the small petals. Then colored in using watercolors.  I used 4 colors, 2 different purples, a green and a yellow.  Once the panel was dry, it was adhered to a card base (4.25x5.5 in) using foam adhesive.  Then a white panel was die cut using a rectangle die.  The sentiment and petals were ...

  Hello friends! This is Day 2 of the Technique Tuesday release for May. The stamp set I am sneak peeking today, is called Congrats Grad .   Since this is the time college and high school students are graduating, this is the perfect set to mass produce congratulations cards.  It has bold sentiments and easy to color, lined images.  Or, they can be stamped without being colored in. For this card, I stamped everything in a permanent black ink, then colored in the images with water colors.  Once the panel was dry, I die cut the paper using a square diecut.  The diecut was adhered to the card front using foam adhesive, then embellished with twine and nuvo drops. Is anyone else completely loving the watercolor trend in card making right now?  I love how mixed media always finds away into card making.  For this card, I decided to use the Zig Clean Line pens.  I have found that if you apply color, then quickly add water in a small section, the type of paper that you use is less important.  But if you apply all of the color, then water...then you need a smooth water color paper for that.  It will blend much more easily. I started by stamping the fox image with versa fine black ink, its permanent and is perfect for watercoloring since it doesn't bleed.  Then I colored in the image.  Using a MISTI tool, I stamped the sentiments.  The Happy Happy Happy Family add on stamp set from Lawn Fawn , is so great for cards that you plan on giving to a family member! Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a watercolored card with you today.  For this particular card, I new I was going to be using pigmented water colors (sennelier) and a lot of water, so I used Arches water color paper. This card probably took 2 days to create, only because I fully allow the paper to dry before adding additional color, when I don't want colors to bleed into each other.  Some of the red and yellow did, because I laid those colors at the same time. The images and sentiment are in the Lily Wishes stamp set (now on sale) from Technique Tuesday.  I love coloring in their florals with watercolors! Hello friends! I am having to do a few days of catch-up today, I thought I pre-scheduled my blog posts, but they never went live :(  Sometimes you win some, some times you lose some.  I was away at Walt Disney World with my son for 4 days and it was amazing. I am however sad, that the time I put into my blog posts is gone.  Oh well. My first card was made using the Peekaboo backdrops as well as other Lawn Fawn dies, to create a clean and graphic card with no stamping.  A lot of crafters do not stamp, so I wanted to show how versatile this new back drop is.  I think it would be a lot of fun to create a scrapbook page using this die!  Next up, I have this watercolored card using the Happy Village stamp set.  I originally had the images die cut, but after I die cut them I realized it didn't look right with a white border around the die cuts.  So, I used scissors and trimmed as close to the stamped image as possible.  The im...

Hello friends!  Another day and another card to share.  To see the full reveal of this stamp set, head on over to the Technique Tuesday blog. I kind of had in my mind how I wanted to use this die and stamp set, thats always fantastic and a sign of a great product.  I started by adding color to watercolor paper, using pink, red, purple and aqua Zig pens.  I did the same to the base of the card, using the same water color paper and pens. Once the watercolor was dry-ish, I stamped the sentiment onto the card bas, then diecut the heart a few times.  I adhered it to the card using foam tape.  Using the remaining diecut, using the center piece of the puzzle (and a different color), I adhered it to the heart using foam adhesive. To embellish, pink sparkly Nuvo drops were used. All of the Technique Tuesday March products are now available, on the new products page.

Hello friends! Another sneak peak at the March release for Technique Tuesday.  Today I am using a stamp set called Sassy Love Your Guts.  It has several images and sentiments.  Some of the sentiments are pretty funny.  I have never been stung by a jellyfish, however, I do live in Florida so I know lots of people and tourists who have. So this was very quite comical to me lol. For this card I stamped the jellyfish in versa fine onyx black ink.  Then using assorted Zig water color brush pens and an aqua brush, water colored the card panel.  The paper I watercolored and stamped on is from Bristol.  Some of the images seemed a little flat, so I had to add color to them in several layers.
