My first card I am using the Poster Board Christmas set .  I cannot wait to make Christmas cards with this set, I have so many ideas running through my head.  Today is a classic white/white card, I am so drawn to white on white cards, I'm not sure why, but they just makes me happy.   When I first saw the Lots of Lines stamp set , I literally squealed with delight.  The super classic bold elements paired with fantastic sentiments in a super fabulous font, really equals perfection for me, it really does.  Bravo to Miss B

Lawn Fawn: Peace Joy Collection

Image
Today I am sharing a card using the Lawn Fawn, Peace Joy Love paper collection.  For a chance to win this pattern paper collection.  Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog for a chance to win and see more inspiration using this line of paper. The strips of paper, are actually from the bottoms of the sheets of paper (where the name is).  Lawn Fawn always has such great patterns and sentiments along that tab, that it is hard for me to throw away. So I used them on this card.  The "be merry" circle, is from a tag, on a sheet of Peace Joy paper.  I decided to cut it out, and use it as my focal sentiment.  For embellishments, I added some Peace Joy Love sequins.

For my first project I am using the Winter Blocks stamp set.  At first look, this is a set that would make fabulous Christmas Cards.  However is does has great sentiments and the dotted stamp line, that would lend itself to make terrific birthday cards.  I challenged myself to create a card that could be for a male or female.  For some reason making masculine cards is very difficult for me.  But by sticking to a fairly neutral color palette with a pop of red, I was able to create a wonderful gender neutral card. I think th

Lawn Fawn: Coles ABC's & Stitched Journaling Card

Image
All this week, Lawn Fawn is showcasing some great new products.  Today, the designers have made projects using the Cole's ABC's and Stitched Journaling card dies.  Dies seriously make me happy and are such a big part of my paper crafting.  My project today is a tag, where I die cut the journaling tag, and then placed Coles ABC onto the die cut (with washi tape) and die cut "xmas" into my tag.  This shows how you can use negative space from a die cut.  To make the sentiment pop, I adhered a piece of Peace Joy Love pattern paper to the back of the tag. Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog , for a chance to win these products!!

Kreate-a-lope Blog Hop

Image
Today a few friends and I are having some fun with a cool product called the Kreate-a-lope®. It's an envelope template that does not require scissors, tracing, or measuring of any kind and it was created by Nick Romer. Nick is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to relaunch the Kreate-a-lope® and raise funds and awareness for this must-see tool. If you want to support the campaign, you can see a short video and learn more here: http://www.greensneakers.com/ kick2  or you can visit his site, GreenSneakers.com. Using the templates, I made a few different sized envelopes, a 5x5, A2 & a Money-velope.  I was a little skeptical at first, but they really were so easy to use, and I didn't need to look at the directions to see if I was doing it right (which is a good thing) .   The templates are quite thick, so it was quite easy to tear the paper along the edges.  I'm so excited to start making coordinating envelopes to match my cards now. Here are the fronts of

Lawn Fawn & Core'dinations blog hop

Image
Lawn Fawn and Core'dinations are teaming up this week.  Make sure you visit the Lawn Fawn blog every day, to see some great projects, and of course prizes!! For my card, I used the Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock in Scotch (such a beautiful yellow), as well as the Sand it gadget to get those great sanded edges.  Using the Trick or Treat and Critters in Costume stamp sets, I created this fun Halloween card.  The candy corn were stamped in a coordinating yellow ink, to get a tone on tone background.  I then stamped the sentiment in black ink.  Then stamped/die cut the cat, colored her in using Copics, then adhering it to the card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D foam squares.  I added twine, and rounded the corners to finish the card. materials used: Lawn Fawn Trick or Treat stamp set Lawn Fawn Critters in Costume stamp set Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock in scotch Core'dinations Sand it gadget yellow ink black ink Scrapbook Ad
