Lawn Fawn Let's Polka

Image
One of the newest collections from Lawn Fawn is called Let's Polka, it is full of bright colors and designs that are great basics, stripes, hearts & polka dots. Today the Fawnies are showcasing project using this Collection line.  Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog, to see great inspiration and for a chance to win this collection. For my card I used the 6x6 paper pad, which made is really easy to line up my stripes.  I wanted to include some of the sequins from Let's Polka since they are part of the collection and add that extra sparkle to my card. I diecut the banner, stamped my sentiment and a few stars, then adhered it to the card using 3D foam squares to give the card a bit of dimension.

Lawn Fawn: Birthday Tags

Image
This week make sure to check out the Lawn Fawn Blog daily!  Different products will be shown each day with a chance to win!  Today the designers are showcasing the Birthday Tags stamp set.  I LOVE this set.  Not just because I love to make tags, but because from the sentiments to the size of the tags and the little extra images, it is so easy to create with this set. Instructions: 1.  Stamp "happy birthday" sentiment in Versamark onto the card front. 2.  Pour clear embossing powder over the stamped sentiments, tap off excess and heat emboss. 3.  Round the bottom right corners. 4.  Add strip of white cardstock to the cardfront. 5.  Stamp/die cut tag using coral card stock. 6.  Add twine to the tag hole, an adhere to the card using foam squares. 7.  Stamp/die cut smaller tags, adhere to the large tag using foam squares. 8.  Color in the bottom of the tags using a copic marker.

Lawn Fawn & Timeless Twine

Image
This week Lawn Fawn & Timeless Twine are having a cross promotional blog party of sorts.  Make sure to visit both blogs for some great inspiration and for a chance to win some great product! My daughter and several of her friends are obsessed with all things American and patriotic.  From Bald Eagles to the movie Top Gun, they live, breathe and sweat red, white and blue.  It could be that we live in the south, or that most of them come from Military families.  Whatever the case they LOVE their country.  So, I decided to make a fun card for her to give to one of her friends when they are having a down day. Yes, the Lawn Fawn griffin really isn't an eagle...but who cares its close enough lol.  Its like a cute little baby cartoon eagle.  All of the stamps, dies, pattern paper and notecards can be found at the Lawn Fawn website.  To finish the card, I added some beautiful Timeless Twine, it seemed really nautical and American, so it was the perfect touch.
