Interactive Thank You

Image
Do you like interactive cards? Taylored Expressions has made this theater fold interactive die kit, so so easy. You will need to diecut the outer layer, and two inside pieces. But included are pieces already diecut and scored, ready to use.  After die cutting sugar cube cardstock to create the top layer. Using watermelon, candy corn and pinapple inks, the diecut panel was ink blended to create a gradient of red/orange/yellow. A stencil was placed over the panel and ink blended again to create a design.  The thank you sentiment was stamped, then diecut to place over the pre cut and scored diecut pieces. Then using the same stencil and ink colors, to create the same pattern.  When you pull the sides of the card apart, there is a secret area to place another sentiment/image. So fun! I am loving these big bold sentiments with coordinating dies. They really can add that extra zing to a card when you stamp the sentiment onto colored cardstock and diecut it out.  To start,...

Happy Birthday

Image
Hello friends! How are you all doing? The state of the world is definitely strange right now. This is a wonderful time to take a little time for yourself and be creative. For myself, papercrafting has always been therapy and I will continue to carve out a little bit of time each day to my craft room to escape.  For this card I first blended a white die cut panel using red, orange, yellow, green and blue inks. Then using Offset Saying, Birthday, I stamped the sentiments using the same inks.  The main sentiment and music notes were stamped onto the panel in black ink. The critters were stamped in black ink, colored in with copic markers, cut out with scissors and then adhered to the panel using foam adhesive onto a Kraft card base.  Just looking at this card makes me happy, and I cannot wait to put it in the mail.  I hope you are still following along with the Lawn Fawn March inspiration week, and check out all of the beautiful projects on the blog...

Happy Easter

Image
This scalloped treat bag is one of my favorite stand alone dies from Lawn Fawn. It is the perfect die to pair with patterned paper. Today, I am sharing this bag created out of the Dandy Day patterned paper with some of the Say What Spring Critters. The critters were stamped in black ink, colored in with copic markers then cut out and adhered to the bag.  Twine was added to the top for an embellishment.  Cute little Easter bags are a great way to package small treats.

Thanks So Much

Are you following along with the Summer release from Lawn Fawn? Do you have a favorite so far? I am loving all the stamp/dies that are beach related! Today my card is using a brand new die called Tropical Backdrop.  I know a lot of cardmakers, do not like to color. So this project is a great example of how you can achieve a fun and colorful background by just using pattern paper.  I have seen some of the projects that the other designers have created and they are incredible! Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog to check them out!

Seasons Greetings

Hello friends! Today I am showcasing the die set from Lawn Fawn called the Reversed Stitched Scalloped Square Window die (whew that is a mouthful).  Lawn Fawn has these in squares, rectangles and circles.  You place the die onto cardstock, run it through a die cut machine, and what you have is a panel, that has an outside stitch and then a scalloped diecut center.  I love how this adds fun drama to any card and is perfect for creating window cards or shaker cards. This is a fun square card, with a colorful winter scene. The background was watercolored along with the village image. The snowflakes were diecut using white glitter paper for added interest and sparkle, because who doesn't love something sparkly. Slow Down and Enjoy

Image
Hello friends! The April Lawn Fawn Inspiration week is happening, and today I have a cute little project to share.  Have you seen the Slow Down and Enjoy Stamp set & add on dies?  I created a bookmark with them.  I love how the stamp set shows the front and back side of the animals lol. I started by stamping the elephant onto white card stock and coloring it in using copic markers.  Then using a coordinating die, I cut out the book mark.  I like to stamp, color then die cut, so I get perfect placement. Using a low tack tape or washi tape to hold down the die helps immensely.  I then cut out the book mark again using green card stock, adhered them together and tied some LF twine through the holes. Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog for some really fantastic projects using these stamps/dies.

Lawn Fawn: Winter Scripty Saying & Scalloped Rectangles Stackables

Image
Hello there! Today is the start of the October inspiration week for Lawn Fawn.  Today, I am sharing a card using the latest stamp set called Winter Scripty Sayings with the Scalloped Rectangle dies. Can you believe that it is mid October already?  Before I know it the holidays will be fast approaching...and I am not ready!  The card I am sharing today, is pretty simple to execute but it has some fun techniques that makes it not so clean and simple.  The great thing about this stamp set are all of the great sentiments!  Since I am making a Christmas card, I settled on the "season's greetings" sentiment. Instructions: 1.  Die cut white cardstock, using a scalloped rectangle die. 2.  At a diagonal apply a strip of washi tape across the diecut. 3.  Using a sponge tool and red ink.  Apply red ink below the washi tape. 4.  Using a darker red ink, stamp the season's greeting sentiment repeatedly to create a fun background...

Fancy Pants, MFT & Donuts

Happy Saturday!! The older my children get, the more busy we become.  I try to do special little things for them, whether its buying certain things for their lunches, having one on one time with them after school, or getting them little surprises.  Parenting teenagers is a lot different that parenting littles. One of my children's love languages is food.  They appreciate all kinds of deliciousness.  My husband have lots of errands to get done today, but a quick trip to Krispy Kreme, and a quick DIY topper, my kids have a little note and sweet surprise when they enter the kitchen. I mean who doesn't love donuts?  Right?  I really don't care how fattening, sugary, or carb loaded they are.  I am all about moderation, and my life is happier with donuts in it. I am using the super fun Donuts and Sprinkles stamp set from Laina Lamb Designs, found at My Favorite Things Stamps , as well as the Die-Namics LLD Donuts dies .  Like how perfect are th...
