Fancy Pants Designs: Oh Deer! Christmas Cards

Y'all how is tomorrow October 1st?
Normally I have started my Christmas shopping by now, and I have not.  I feel like I am living on the edge, but I'm okay with that lol.
I freaking LOVE i love it so much, I would marry it.  Christmas is my very favorite holiday.  But it kinda stresses me out, not gonna lie.  Every year, I try to get ahead by starting cards early, but time just slips away from me.
But that does not stop me from trying!!

Today, I am sharing a few Christmas cards that I recently created, to get ahead in the game.  Both of them were created using the Fancy Pants Designs, Oh Deer! Collection.

I did a more layered card with lots of fun embellishments, and then a more toned down simple card.  I know everyone one has different styles and tastes.  So I am hoping today serves you all :)

Here is a more simple card using the same collection:

Lawn Fawn: Milk and Cookies

Have you been following this weeks release over at Lawn Fawn?  So many great new products right?

Today, I am sharing a cute little card using the stamp set & dies called Milk & Cookies.  I wish my children were younger, so I could use this set the night before Christmas, for a cute note to Santa.  But for today, I made a sweet wishes notecard.

There is still a chance to win great prizes, so head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog, to check things out!

Lawn Fawn: Snow Day stamps

Today, I am sharing a tag project using the Snow Day stamps & coordinating dies.  There are more projects using this set over on the Lawn Fawn Blog, as well as a giving away.

I absolutely love making tags.  They are smaller than a card, making it easier to find balance.  Sometimes cards are just too big for some stamps.
I wanted to watercolor different shades of blue onto watercolor paper.  I tend to do this when my husband is watching something uninteresting (like football) on television.  So I watercolor, let it sit overnight, ready for me to use in the morning.

The reason why my stamp is because I stamped my sentiment, then sprayed the paper with a shimmer spritz, and it totally activated the watercolor & the ink, making it run.  I still like my project.  But I guess the lesson I take away, is spritzing shimmer before you stamp?
So far, I have a nice little stash of holiday cards ready to be used for Christmas, which makes things a whole lot let stressful around that time.

Sending Hedgehugs Gift Bag

It's so strange the way a family dynamic can change, when one of your children go away to college.  We went from a family of four, to a family of 3.  Plus with Jess being a pilot in the Navy, sometimes it's just a family of two, me and Jacob.
We had a really good weekend.  On Friday, we went & played laser tag, then went to this place that serves hot dogs outside of a bar.  I know that sounds crazy, but these hotdogs are super good.  All beef, cheese, relish, onions and a little bit of mustard & catchup.  Delicious!
Then yesterday, we took a drive to St. Augustine, went to a few galleries, a few antique shops, a used bookstore, a great stationery & stamp store...what else?  Oh we got fresh fudge & ice cream from this candy shop, and we had Starbucks.  It was really hot & sticky but nice.  The piece de resistance for my son, was that we got him a Key Blade (like from Kingdom Hearts).

So now it is Sunday, and I typically would be making sure clothes were clean, & all homework is complete.  I still do that, but with only have one child at home, its easier to manage.  With that comes a lot of extra time for me.  Sometimes that is good, because I have more time to get things done.  But, like today when I am feeling a little run down & sick.  I really miss my daughter, a lot!  Before when she was home, she would make me tea or just sit and talk with me...about meaningless things that mean so much.

I have a few busy months ahead of me, so while I had some extra time today.  I made this cute little treat bag.  I really didn't think I would be able to make anything today because around noon our power went out (car accident knocked out a transformer).  It was 90 degrees and there was no way I was going to stay in our house with no air conditioning lol.

So cute right?
I found these cute kraft bags, at the stationery store yesterday, so all I need to do was decorate it.  I used the Fancy Pants Designs True Friend 6x6 paper pad, along with the Ephemera Pack.  How cute is that Hedgehog?!?  I love it!!

I have a super cute Lawn Fawn stamp set called Hedgehugs, that coordinated perfectly!!

I just happened to add this fun creation to a bag, but this would be great to use as a tag on a bag or gift as well.
