Sending Hedgehugs Gift Bag
It's so strange the way a family dynamic can change, when one of your children go away to college. We went from a family of four, to a family of 3. Plus with Jess being a pilot in the Navy, sometimes it's just a family of two, me and Jacob.
We had a really good weekend. On Friday, we went & played laser tag, then went to this place that serves hot dogs outside of a bar. I know that sounds crazy, but these hotdogs are super good. All beef, cheese, relish, onions and a little bit of mustard & catchup. Delicious!
Then yesterday, we took a drive to St. Augustine, went to a few galleries, a few antique shops, a used bookstore, a great stationery & stamp store...what else? Oh we got fresh fudge & ice cream from this candy shop, and we had Starbucks. It was really hot & sticky but nice. The piece de resistance for my son, was that we got him a Key Blade (like from Kingdom Hearts).
So now it is Sunday, and I typically would be making sure clothes were clean, & all homework is complete. I still do that, but with only have one child at home, its easier to manage. With that comes a lot of extra time for me. Sometimes that is good, because I have more time to get things done. But, like today when I am feeling a little run down & sick. I really miss my daughter, a lot! Before when she was home, she would make me tea or just sit and talk with me...about meaningless things that mean so much.
I have a few busy months ahead of me, so while I had some extra time today. I made this cute little treat bag. I really didn't think I would be able to make anything today because around noon our power went out (car accident knocked out a transformer). It was 90 degrees and there was no way I was going to stay in our house with no air conditioning lol.
I have a super cute Lawn Fawn stamp set called Hedgehugs, that coordinated perfectly!!
I just happened to add this fun creation to a bag, but this would be great to use as a tag on a bag or gift as well.

Lawn Fawn Hedgehugs stamp set
Lawn Fawn dies

Spellbinders Artisan X-plorer die cutting machine

So cute right?
I found these cute kraft bags, at the stationery store yesterday, so all I need to do was decorate it. I used the Fancy Pants Designs True Friend 6x6 paper pad, along with the Ephemera Pack. How cute is that Hedgehog?!? I love it!!

I totally agree with college and family dynamics. My girl is in her 2nd year of college and in an apartment...my boy is a senior this year and when he leaves me to go to college, well, that's not going to be pretty :)
