Lawn Fawn: Treat Yourself

Just a fun watercolored card today, using the Treat Yourself stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn.  This is a small mini set, which means its super affordable, not to mention cute.  Make sure you head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog , for a chance to win this set also to see more great projects using these products. I had an idea in my mind to watercolor part of the card front, as well as the images.  I love rainbow sherbet especially in the summertime, so I used that as a jump off for my color palette.  The card base is a nice watercolor paper.  To start I dipped a brush in water and got the bottom right of the card front a little wet, so the paint would spread easier.  When I watercolor i do lots of layers, and let the layers dry in between coats.  Once I was happy, i stamped the sentiment in a black pigment ink, then heat set the ink.  When watercoloring and stamping together, you need to use a permanent pigment ink not a water based ink.  Water based inks react to water, and will g
