CardMaker Hop Featuring We R Memory Keepers Punch Boards

Image
Today, the CardMaker Blog Team is showcasing projects using the fun new We R Memory Keepers Punch Boards.  This was my very first time using a Punch Board, and honestly I was a little scared at first.  However, the instructions are very clear, and it was extremely fast and easy to finish the bags shown below.  What I really love about this punch, is how versatile it is with the different sized bags I have the choice in making.  Click on this link here, to watch a video on the board I used.   (it's the first video, the yellow bag punch) Please take a few minutes, to visit the following blogs. Autumn Blessings

Image
Today, I am sharing a card using the October Ho, Ho's & Holiday Blessings stamp set from Avocado Arts.  It has a mix of fall & winter/Christmas images, and since I'm not quite ready to jump full force into Christmas, a fall card it is.  Not too mention, I have a bunch of fall & Halloween pattern paper I need to use up.  The chipboard and pattern paper are both from Crate paper, so I paper pieced a few of the leaves and applied them to the chipboard.  I originally stamped the sentiment onto the pattern paper, but it kind of got lost and was hard to read.  So, I thought about it for a few minutes, and re-stamped it onto white card stock, and I like it much better that way.   Head on over to the other designer blogs, I am always so inspired by what they create. Personalized Notebooks

Image
It is hard to believe summer is almost over, and my children start school in 2 weeks.  How on earth will I have a 5th & 10th grader?  I just can't wrap my head around that one.  My daughter has an especially hard course load this year (so does my son), so we sat down, and I let her go through my pattern paper stash, to re-cover/alter a composition notebook.  We made one for one of her really good friends as well. Kendall, finally settled on some beautiful Crate paper, and picked out some girly Teresa Collins paper for her friend.  It just made sense to use some Lawn Fawn stamps to personalize the notebooks for the girls.  The larger alphabet set is Quinn's ABC's and the smaller alpha set is the Harold's ABC's set.  I also used the S choolhouse backdrops set too.  I love that the Harold's set fit so perfect within the lines!!  I colored in the girls names using Copic markers to make the names pop a little more, then accented the letters...

Lawn Fawn: Quinn's ABC's & some talky talk

Image
Oh, how I have waited months to show this stamp set on my blog!  I was completely in love with this stamp set from the moment I saw it.  It is a larger scale alphabet set, that is perfect to color in, paper piece or just stamp alone. In a little over a day, my husband will be coming home from his deployment.  Most of you know, he is a helicopter pilot in the US Navy, and this deployment was really rough.  It has been a little over 6 months since me or my children have seen him, so the anxiety level in my house, is through the roof right now.   I plan on writing him a little note inside this card, and placing on his side of the bed.  I will probably apologize too for being a bed hog until I get used to him being there again lol.   With each hour of this deployment coming to a close, I feel a release of sorts.  For the last 6 months, I have had to be the Mom, Dad, friend, disciplinarian, coach, teacher, taxi driver, money hander-overer, tear wiper, ...

Lawn Fawn: My Silly Valentine sneak

Image
Today the designers for Lawn Fawn are showing sneaks of the upcoming stamp set called, My Silly Valentine. This set is going to make you smile! Just looking at it makes me smile, it is a happy stamp set, but I think all Lawn Fawn stamp sets are happy. A clean & balanced card for you today. A perfectly balanced card is always what I strive to make, whether it is graphic & clean or maybe a little layered card, balance will always make it shine (in my opinion). Some nice textured card stock, pretty pattern paper, twine, foam tape, a border punch and some markers. Visit the Lawn Fawn blog as well as the design team for more awesome projects!
