 Hello, friends! Are you ready for cuteness overload? The Acorn House die set from Lawn Fawn, is ridiculously cute! There are so many scenes in my head that I cannot wait to create using this die. For this card the base< trees and top of the acorn were diecut with Kraft cardstock. To get a richer color I ink blended brown onto the edges for contrast. I did this this the acorn house as well. Behind the backdrop is a trimmed down piece of Into The Woods Remix patterned paper. Except for the "hello, friend" above the door, this is primarily a no stamping card. Hello friends! Did you see that Lawn Fawn has a new stand alone die set? Its called Build An Aquarium. You can create a vertical or horizontal aquarium. Hello Friends! Are you following along with the Lawn Fawn September Inspiration Week?  Today I am sharing a card using a few stamping techniques that I enjoy doing, heat embossing and ink distressing.  I started by inking up the snow background stamp from the Snow Cool set using VersaMark ink.  VersaMark ink is a watermark and embossing ink.  I applied clear embossing powder over the stamped image, and then heat embossed the card using a heat gun.  Using the Blue Jay ink from Lawn Fawn and a blending tool, I applied ink to the front of the card.  I started at the top of the card, working my way down to the bottom, to create a gradient look.  I stamped the sentiment in the same blue jay ink, and added the little snow flakes too.  The penguins were stamped, diecut and colored, then adhered to the card using foam adhesive to give the card some depth.  To embellish twine and sequins were added. Hello there!  Are you following along with the February Inspiration week from Lawn Fawn so far?  What do you think?  I am constantly amazed at the ideas that come out of that company.  Today I am sharing a card using the Rooting for You stamp set and coordinating die set.  What I love about this stamp set is that is has solid stamps! My card is a little clean and simple for you today.  I chose to use the color palette of red, orange and yellow.  I usually try to stick with 3 colors when I create a card...Oh I have green too (but not a lot more of an accent).  A card doesn't seem so overwhelming when you keep a color scheme simple.

Today, I am sharing a few stand alone dies that are brand new to Lawn Fawn.  Stand alone dies, are just dies that can go with any project and do not have a coordinating stamp set to match.  For my project today, I am combining the Puffy Cloud Borders and Rainbow, as well as the hello die. No doubt about it.  These dies to me scream happy!  These would be fantastic to help create fun scenes, especially with the critters.  But for todays card, I created this with just dies (and no stamps can you believe it!).  I can totally see myself using these dies on scrapbook pages as well!  The stitching on the clouds, totally hooked me in, it adds a really nice dimension to the cardstock. What I instantly was drawn to when I first saw this stamp set, was the size of the sentiments.  These sentiments are a bit larger than what you are used to seeing from Lawn Fawn, and I am LOVING this size.  Its in a nice font too.  This party animal critter themed set, really is genius.  Plus there are coordinating dies to match the stamps. The next few days I will be sharing some fun projects I have made for the Lawn Fawn March Inspiration Week.  Today I have a cupcake topper & wrapper using some Lawn Fawn die along with the Year 5 stamp/die set. I am loving the Pint Size patterns paper collection.  It has all of the colors that just make me happy.  So when I was looking at using the Year 5 set, and making a party ensemble, I knew I had to use these paper along with it. What is so great about coordinating dies/stamps is that it really finishes your project and gives it that little extra professional looking touch. Today, I get to share a project with you, using the Love You A Latte stamp set & coordinating dies.  If there is an opportunity to put a smiley face on an inanimate object, I'm totally going to do it, 99% of the time.  That is a lie, more like 100% of the time lol.  Coffee is one of my favorite things in the world, so to say this stamp set makes me happy, is a severe understatement.  I clapped like a seal with joy when I first saw this set.  I love it.
