Lawn Fawn: Perfectly Fall Plaid

Image
Hello friends!  Today I am sharing another treat bag, using the Scalloped Treat bag die and Stitched tree border dies from Lawn Fawn.  If you head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog , the focus today is the Perfectly Plaid Fall pattern paper, as well as new card stock and ink (like storm cloud...its a dark grey). Yesterday I talked about how easy is it is to create this treat bag.  Today I die cut the Stitched trees die and adhered it to the front of the bag using foam adhesive, it just gives the bag that little extra touch.  I didn't add a tag, but adding a stamped sentiment onto the twine would be super cute! Lawn Fawn: Scalloped Treat Bag & Bows

Image
Hello friends, I am back today sharing a treat bag.  Lawn Fawn has another die that when die cut twice, creates a scalloped treat bag.  The score lines are created when you die cut it, so all you have to do is fold along the lines, add adhesive and adhere together.  There is a great video that explains how to use the die over on the Lawn Fawn youtube channel, and on the blog.  Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog , to see all of the wonderful projects using todays featured products.  The Bow die, is also new this month, there are three different sized bows. I used the Perfectly Plaid Fall 12x12 pattern paper to create this bag, as well as the bow.  Each bag you need to die cut twice, so you can get 4 bag diecuts to make 2 treat bags from a single sheet of 12x12 paper.  The Halloween image and sentiment are from the Plan On It: Holidays stamp set.

Lawn Fawn: A Good Apple

Image
Here, in my neck of the woods, this is Teacher Appreciation Week.  As my children are getting older (Jr High & High School), I don't buy a gift for all of their teachers.  Just the select few, that my children love, and whom I feel go out of their way for the children they teach.  Today I am showing you a Gift Card (from Starbucks of course) that I bought for my daughter's AP Psychology teacher.  Today (Monday) is the actual AP exam, so I will have Kendall give her this card today.  Ms. Waller goes out of her way to have study sessions, which prepare the students for the AP exam, and is always available to them. So, when I saw this stamp set from Lawn Fawn, and then saw the teacher gift cards at Starbucks, the gears started churning in my noggin for a cute gift card idea. By stamping the gift card holder, and personalizing it, my hope is that is will make her teacher feel a little extra special and that we are thinking of her.  I wish I could give mo...

Thank You!!

A huge thank you to Chris and my dss "Mary"! I got two great packages in the mail today. The first few pictures are the things Chris sent to me. She is a best friend that anyone would love to have. Plus she loves paper crafting as much as I do! She doesn't make me feel guilty about buying or hoarding too much, we both have a "thing" about cutting into pretty paper when you don't have much left of it lol . Anyhow, In the package today there was a book called Get Real Greetings, all I have to say is hilarious and perfect! A Cuttlebug embossing folder (friend), 3 cards, 3 monogramed notebooks...one for me, my daughter and son, gummie Lobsta's (or lobters if you are not from New England) and an altered papertrey packaging box, that she turned into a candy holder for Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. I took a closer picture of that :) She hand stamped and punched each peanut butter cup and stamped "friend" in the center. It had to take a long time...

A big Thank You to Beth

Remember when I posted a few weeks ago about a neighbor down the street giving me Walt Disney World tickets...for free(Beth). Well I finally got a gift basket and a card together. This is a really simple and clean card. Sometimes I think i get all crazy with embellishments, layers and techniques that I forget that a lot of times simple is better. It was really hard to give her the basket because it was so yummy! It had different starbucks coffee, chai tea, hot chocolate, diet coke (her favorite drink) Harry and David Moose Munch, Harry and David truffles, really fancy chocolate bars, starbucks mug, coffee creamer, caramel coffee syrup, some other things and a Starbucks gift card. This is a bad picture of the basket because it doesn't show everything, but you get the idea. For the card: whisper white cardstock, ruby red cardstock, heartfelt thanks stamp set, stazon black & ruby red ink. may arts ribbon...easy peasy card!
