 Last month I was in Kansas with a bunch of crafty friends, and I was able to complete a few cards for this Lawn Fawn Inspiration week!  Up first is a row of Winter Narwhals.  They each were stamped using the River Rock ink, and then colored in with colored pencils and gamsol.  The panel was blended using Distress Oxide inks, and then splattered with gold Kuretake watercolors. Each narwhal was adhered using foam adhesive. A double knotted twine bow was added for embellishment. Up next is the Sugar Cookie add-on stamp set. Each cookie was stamped in the new Sugar Cookie ink, then colored in using Daniel Smith Watercolors.  Glossy accents was placed on each cookie, then once dry hand cut. Glitter was added to the edges of the cookies to give them a vintage old timey feel. Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog to see more wonderful projects using these super cute sets!

Watercoloring can be very intimidating, even for me. But the more I watercolor using good brushes, and watercolor pans, and a watercolor I like, the more it becomes muscle memory.  Using the same materials each time, dramatically helps with consistent results (for me). I began this card by creating a rectangle water wash onto the watercolor. Then dipping into a blue ink, creating a blue background, which is considered a wet on wet technique.  Once dry the snowflakes were stamped on top in a navy ink, and the sentiments were stamped in black ink. Using the same watercolor paper, the foxes from the Winter Skies Stamp set were stamped in black ink onto a separate piece of paper, and then water colored in using, sepia, brown and orange tones.  You cannot tell in the photo but a shimmer watercolor was added to the scarves to make them sparkle. Once dry the foxes were cut out and adhered to the panel using foam adhesive.  The panel was then adhered to navy blue ...

Here is a project that was shown yesterday on the Lawn Fawn blog .  I have to admit, besides "thank you" or "i miss you" cards, I make a ton of holiday projects.  There is something about the holidays that makes it seem so magical right? Here is my card using the new stamp set called Deck the Halls, as you can see, it comes with a coordinating die set.

After I stamped the images and colored them in.  I went over the leaves & scarfs in stickles. To me this makes the card extra festive.  The New Year tag is perfect to put on a gift, maybe a bottle of champagne.

The Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the Winter in the Park stamp set today.  The stamp set is 4x3, has great sentiments and bench in the park images, to create really great projects! I started, by stamping the light pole in a black ink, as well as the sentiment.  The bow on the pole is a separate stamp, so it made it simple to create the bow (in red ink) .  Using the different snowflake stamps (in blue ink) I created a border on the top and side of the card, to me this gives this one layer card a little bit of depth.  To embellish, I added yellow stickles in the lights, and peppermint twine with a bow. Today, the Lawn Fawn designers are introducing a new ABC stamp set called Milo's ABCs.  The way Lawn Fawn creates their ABC sets (because they line up perfectly) , makes it so easy to create custom sentiments. For my card today, I created the "happy holidays" sentiment in black ink.  Then using the Lawn Fawn snowflake sequins (and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam squares, cut), adhered them to the card.  Since I used a foam adhesive it gives the snowflakes depth.  It looked like the sentiment was floating in the middle of the card, so I took a light blue Copic marker and drew a line underneath the sentiment.  To me, this helped ground the sentiment a little more.
