Technique Tuesday Meets My Sweet Petunia

Hello friends!
Something awesome is happening today. Technique Tuesday and My Sweet Petunia, have joined forces for a blog hop, and giveaway.  One person will win a $50 gc to Technique Tuesday, as well as someone receiving a $50 to My Sweet Petunia.  So simple, all you do is leave a comment, thats it.  All comments need to be left by May 28th, with winners announced on the 29th.

You are at my blog currently (Latisha(, and next up is Jeanne! Below is a list of all the blogs providing you with beautiful ideas and inspiration today.

I am sharing with you a card, where the image was stamped three different times, in different positions to create a scene.  Below is a short photo tutorial of the process. For those of you new to the MISTI tool by My Sweet Petunia.  The MISTI is a stamping platform, that enables the stamper to stamp multiple times perfectly in the same spot.  Magnets hold the paper down, and the grid allows for perfect placement.  It truly is a stampers ultimate tool.

First the image was placed in the center of the white cardstock, held in place by the two magnets. The stamp set is from Technique Tuesday called Budding Poppies.

Removing the stamp, cleaning it (to prevent unwanted ink marks), repositioning the stamp, then inking it again.  The goal is to create a flower scene.

After the image was stamped in three different spots using Memento Tuxedo black ink, the poppies were ready to be colored in.  The coloring medium for the flowers is a variety of Copic Markers.

Red copic markers can sometimes bleed, so i like to start with the lightest colors, moving on to the darkest in a color family.

Once the coloring was completed. The stamped panel was placed back into the MISTI, for the sentiment to be stamped.

The panel was layered onto red cardstock with foam adhesive, then adhered to the card front.

I hope you enjoyed my project today, and inspired you to create a fun scene using the MISTI tool and stamps.

Enjoy the hop!

I love this card. I love bright colored flowers and that is just how my real poppies grow. I only color with pencils, I am not a marker person I do not like how I color with them, I am just a pencil person but will try to see if I can make a card half as pretty as yours is using the same stamp thank you for showing us how to do this

Your card is beautiful! And "Just Because" cards are my favorite. Thanks for sharing.
OMGoodness, this is just stunning! I actually have this stamp but never thought to make a field of poppies on the panel before! I'm totally going to do that... right after I finish hopping, that is! And I've only watercolored this image. I'm not sure my Copic coloring will do it justice after seeing this but I'm gonna give it a try! Thanks for the inspiration :-)
