Simple card with patterned paper

I needed a boy birthday card, and when making cards for boys/men, it can be tough. With the right sketch, paper, and minimal embellishments you have the tools to make a great card. To achieve the right "look", for myself, it starts with finding the correct paper, like the Monstrosity designer paper line from Sassafras Lass. To me it just screams boy! The card base is Bazzill orange peel textured paper, and the monster is from the Monstrosity card stock sticker sheet. I changed the colors of the thickers by taking a copic marker and coloring over the sticker, easy peasy. This card took under 10 minutes to make (my favorite), with the kids back in school, birthday cards for their friends are going to be simple this year, I just don't have time to spend on a card that may end up in the trash. I hand delivered this card, however this card would have only taken 1 stamp, most cards I make take at least 2 stamps.
