One stamp two looks

This week for the Flourishes Friday, the ever talented Leslie, has challenged us to use one stamp set and make two cards with different looks. For my first card, I made a winter time Thank You card. Then for my second card, I made a clean and simple fall card. The easiest way for the stamps to look different was by coloring in the buds and bows different colors. Next, was to choose patterned paper that put me in the mood for that season. When I think of fall, I instantly imagine the color orange, so I picked out some Indian Summer designer paper, and orange stitched grosgrain ribbon. For the winter thanks card, I didn't want Christmas colors with are green and red, so I went with a softer color palette using creams, light blue-green and red tones. Since the fall card was so clean, I wanted to dirty up the thanks card, by just distressing the edges of the paper with ink. In this Seasonal Wreaths stamp set there are 4 different wreaths and several sentiments. The possibilities of all the different looks that you can achieve with this set really are endless. That is exactly what I look for when I am making a stamp purchase, it needs to be versatile.
Head on over to the Flourishes Newsletter for Leslie's tutorial on how she achieved her two card looks with the stamp set she chose.

Awesome! Your cards are stunning! Love the layouts and the gorgeous colors you used! Tks for the inspiration!
What a pretty pair Latisha! I'm partial to the 1st because I love your use of dp. Delicate prints for such a pretty wreath...but I have to say the warmth of the orange is so fun too!

You know, I just love the color palette and the buttons and everything about the first card, and then I look at the second card and think the white with orange is so soft and pretty, and maybe it's my favorite. Funny to say orange is soft, but it does look soft on your card. I love this set and I love both of your cards, so it's a good thing I don't have to choose!
