Beate's sketch challenge

I finally have done one of Beate's sketch challenges, creativity must ooze through her body because everything she makes is incredible! This is WSC22. Lets see I started out with close to cocoa base which I ran through my cuddlebug, with the d'vine swirl embossing folder. Can I just say how much I love those folders, love them :). The designer paper is by Daisy Bucket Designs, the Astor Park Collection, I used Emilie St. & Clay St. Its double sided paper, I really think all dp should be double sided, there are so many more possibilities you can do with it. Anyhow, I layered whisper white cardstock on top. I used four different stamp sets to make this card; Fast & Fun note, Polka dots and Petals, All in a Row, and In the Loop Alphabet all by Stampin Up. For ink I used Close to Cocoa, Purely Pomegranate, Versamark and Basic Black Stampin' write marker. The brads in the top right corner are from the $1 spot at Target, the lower corner is a Prima flower and silver brad.
I don't know about your Target, but the one near me started putting scrapbook/stamping stuff in the $1 spot. About a month ago I got little scrapbooks, an alphabet stamp set and some brads. What I didn't pick up but they had also was ribbon, paper, punches and other stamps. I altered the little scrapbooks and put my neighbors name and address on them, to put in their "BOO" package I made for them. Have any of you "BOO-ed" your neighbors? I bought these really big orange bowls and filled them up with candy, kitchen towels, magnetic note-pad, doggy treats for their dogs, a few altered items...the little scrapbooks and baskets I made out of paper which I filled with Hershey's Nuggets and altered those too :)...did I mention I put lots of candy in the bowl too? So after you make a "BOO" package (you also need to make a sign that says you've been booed, you can find pre-made ones online) you put it in front of your neighbors door, ring the doorbell and RUN!! They then find the note and "BOO" someone else. I think everyone on my street and the streets on both sides of me have now been "Boo-ed". The kids love it! They think its the coolest thing, so cool that when we went to dinner with our neighbors my son (who is 6) couldn't resist telling them that we "boo-ed" them. Little kids do not know how to keep a secret/surprise. The innocence of being a child.

Beautiful card and WONDERFUL blog! I'll have to come visit more often now that I found you! :) To answer your question on my blog, you can get "acetate" at any office supply store or any place office supplies are sold (Walmart). They are also called "transparancies". They have different weights, so you'll just have to look and see what's available!
