A fun card, and a heartfelt Thank You

I just love these images from Waltzingmouse Stamps...so, so cute, the stamp set is called Half Pint Heroes.  I will let my son write a letter to my husband with this card, it just seems so perfect for that.
I stamped the image onto some Neenah card stock (really nice to use with Copics), then colored in the cute little submarine using Copic markers.  I trimmed the white card stock down to size, and then layered it onto a nice blue textured card stock from Bazill.  To soften the card up a bit, I rounded one of the bottom corners.  I thought it would be cute, to add a little bling in the water bubbles coming from behind the sub.  It is a little girly, but I like it.  Since I knew this card most likely would go to a man, I made a knot with the ribbon, instead of a bow.

On a personal note, thank you all so very much for the outpouring of support you all have given me.  I was so amazed and in awe of all of the woman who contacted me, told me their stories, and just wanted to say they were praying for me.  I felt the love and prayers, and it helped so very much!  Last week I did lose the baby.  It was so very difficult, and for a few days all I wanted to do was stay in bed.  I allowed myself to grieve (and continue to), but I still needed to take care of my two children.  So, I said a few prayers for peace and strength, to help me get through the week.  We ate a lot of take out, but I am perfectly okay with that, and so were my children.  With Jess gone, my friends really stepped up to the plate (and all of my readers) and made sure I was okay, and still do.  I can never say thank you enough, to show my appreciation to everyone who reached out to me.  I have taken this last week to rest, heal and to grieve.  I am still very weak, and will continue to take it easy.  My blood work was not the greatest, so I have to work on getting all of my levels back up to where they need to be.
Again, thank you all so very much!
xoxo

Latisha, I am truly very sorry for your loss. I know what you are going thru. I have been thinking about you, but didn't want to bother you by me contacting you to see how you are. Just know you have been on my mind. I will pray for peace. It takes a long time to get over a loss, but as each day goes by, it will get a little easier. I promise. HUGS!

I am so sorry for your loss, they say time heals all wounds but i disagree, time does allow scar tissues to grow so the hurt isn't as sharp or as frequent and that enables us to continue with life as we must. God be your refuge, your strength and your support. Lean on others as well, they are there for you in person as we your blog readers are here for in in spirt. btw stinking cute card
Tisha, I am so sorry for your loss. Please know I am thinking of you. Probably no words matter at this moment, if I could just give you a hug, I would. Please take your time to heal. Hugs.

Latisha, I agree with the comment made by Bethann.....it's 23 years since I lost my little one, and I still grieve for her, even though I went on to have baby #6...but you WILL get through this. Prayers and hugs for you all.

So, so sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers are with you. Friends are great-but also consider a stephen minister to help you through (sm are individuals just like us who have gone through similar situations---they listen, pray, encourage you--it's free, non-denominational). E-mail me at sentbysharon@aol.com if you want to talk more about it.
Blessings, Sharon

So sorry to hear the news, Latisha. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I don't know what else to say, so I'll just send you a huge HUG. Take all the time you need to grieve.

Your card is adorable, btw.
I was so sorry to hear your news Latisha. I wish I could give you a great big hug! I don't know what it feels like to lose a baby, but I know what it feels like to be alone and do everything yourself - my hubby is active duty AF and was deployed for a year, a year which I was sick in one form or another with really bad back pain for which I recently had spinal fusion surgery. I wish your hubby was at least here to comfort you. My thoughts & prayers are with you and feel free to email and vent anytime.
I have been out of the loop between CHA and sickie germs and just wanted to stop by and tell you that I've been thikning of you even though I haven't said much...I just want yo uto know that I think you are STRONG and amazing between all that's happened w/ the baby and the deployment and I don't know how you do it so gracefully but you DO. I think you are just AMAZING. HUGE hugs to you sweet friend. xoxo
