Flourishes Friday: paper piecing
Is it Friday already? Holy heck, where did this week go? Today, I'm going to get to go to a couple of stamp stores here in Jacksonville...oh yeah retail therapy baby! Jess has a 4 day weekend, so I'm taking advantage of him being home tomorrow, and have some "mommy time".
Anyhow, today I'm bringing you a card for the Flourishes Friday Focus challenge. The very talented Faith, challenged us to paper piece. I originally planned on using Coffee with Friends, however I received this cute stamp set (Gigi & Chloe) this week, and quickly changed my mind. Paper piecing is very simple, you stamp your image on cardstock, then stamp the image again onto patterned paper, and you cut out the part you wish to piece, think of paper dolls. Visit the Flourishes Newsletter for Faith's post. I used some new Jenni Bowlin paper on her dress and hand bags. Did you see Flourishes has the new Spellbinders dies! My list is ever growing.

materials used:
Gigi & Chloe stamp set from Flourishes

Don't forget to visit the rest of the design team to see what they paper pieced

Would you like to win all three newly released stamp sets next week from Flourishes? Well all you need to do is make a card and do some paper piecing on it. Upload your card to SCS using keywords FLLCAPR or leave a comment on the Flourishes blog. You have until next Friday at 5pm cst. A winner will be chosen at the release party which is set for April 10th from 8pm-10pm CST.

I just bawled my way through the ER finale....I haven't watched the show for years and years, but tonight it seemed vintage ER...what a great show!
