Day #2 of Sneek Peaks~Swing Set

Day #2 of sneak peeks for April, today I'm showing a few cards (couldn't decide on one) from the Swing Set, which will be released tomorrow.  This set, has some really cute sentiments that fit perfectly with the amazing images drawn by Lauren Pope.  To describe the set in one word, I think I would say "whimsy".  Head on over to the Flourishes Newsletter and leave a comment, they are having a one day only blog candy to win this set!!
On both cards, I used colored pencils and Gamsol, to color in the images.  Its a really easy technique, just make sure you have some nice blending stumps on hand.  I stamp and color the image before cutting and embossing the paper, for me its just easier that way.  Because I'm showing two cards today, I will list the materials used under each card.
Don't forget to stop by the rest of the Design Team, to see their works of art using this set (scroll down for direct links).  Tomorrow from 8-10pm CST, we are having a release party on SCS in the Flourishes forum, there will be games and prizes, so stop by and say hello.  For another chance to win all three stamps sets, you still have time to play along with the Paper Piecing challenge.  Just make a card and paper piece something on it, then leave a comment on the Flourishes Newsletter or upload it to SCS using the keywords FLLCAPR.

Both are so pretty and springy Latisha. I like how you shaded the tree in the first one and great ribbon treatment on the second one.

So cute Latisha! I love what you are doing with those colored pencils! It reminds me -- need to get mine out and use them a little more often! If I had to decide which of your two cards is my favorite -- I couldn't!
Both are just FABULOUS!!! Love the colors of both!
