card for my dss

So last night as I was getting ready for bed I realized I have only sent 1 card this month to my secret sister {sshh don't tell}. I really like to take pictures in natural light, no natural light at 11:30 pm, so this will have to do. It really does look better irl {really it does}. Lately I go to my acrylic stamps when I need a card in a rush. Clear stamps are so much easier to use, placement wise, I don't mess up as much. However I find myself going to my SU sets the last few days {so proud of myself...I'm a SU demo, don't tell them I love papertreyink >"<}. I used three different stamp sets in this card, Boho Backgrounds, Lots of Thoughts {SAB} & Sweet Dreams {level 1 Hostess}. The polka dot looking stamp is really flower pinwheel looking things, stamped in Versamark on Kraft & Tempting Turquoise cardstock. The flowers on the stampers select {papertreyink} cardstock are stamped with Certainly Celery & the Happy Hellos is stamped with Basic Black. I only used the Happy Hellos part of the stamp, you can achieve this by masking or using a pen to color in the part of the stamp you want to show up. The bigger flowers were stamped with Certainly Celery, colored with Tempting Turquoise, diamond dazzled up, and then cut out. Something was missing so I put a silver brad through the middle of them, which makes them stand out a little. The ribbon is Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon.

On a different note, I have recieve a few emails on how I take my pictures & what I use. I don't have anything fancy, I used a Kodak easyshare Z650, its a few years old. Its a digital camera {my SLR is not digital} so I can keep taking a picture until I like it. Most of the time I take my pictures outside. Natural light will give you the best looking picture. When taking a picture inside I just put some white cardstock behind & underneath the card, so the focus is on the card. I don't have photoshop, just Microsoft Picture it, thats what came with our computer & I use that to crop the picture, soften the edges & to sign my name. I hope that answers it >"<
