Field Notes 2

I am so excited to share my projects today! Not only is Taylored Expressions releasing a new monthly kit, called Field Notes 2. But the stamp set was created by one of my dear friends Lori Craig. When you have a chance, head on over to the TE blog and Instagram to see all of the beautiful samples that have been created with this set. They are truly stunning.

To start, the floral image was stamped in white pigment a few times to create a scene and then embossed with clear embossing powder. This gives the flowers a nice white lined outlined as well as a border when watercoloring. Having the embossed border helps tremendously especially when watercoloring, it keeps the color contained. Once the panel was colored in and dry. The sentiment was stamped in black ink in the corner with a MISTI tool. Stamping on watercolor paper can be tricky so using a stamp platform ensures that the ink can get into all the crevices of the textured paper. The panel was diecut, then layered onto a white card base and white panel with foam adhesive.

In the kit included are watercolor panel sheets. For this card, I trimmed down a panel, and stamped the image a few times using yellow ink. To mask the image, the floral stencil was used so the images didn't overlap. Next, Karin brushes were used to watercolor in the panel. The sentiment was stamped in black ink, then the panel was adhered to black card base using foam adhesive.

Head on over to the TE website to grab your own kit!
