Can you believe they are one year old? Amazing, how fast they have grown. I for one, love being able to design for Lawn Fawn, the images always make me smile and are so easy to work with. Congratulations Kelly, Mike & Erica!! Cheers & here are to many more years to come!
Last week, I received several emails on how I got really great embossing on a card I had made. So I thought I would recreate the card (and change it up a little) and give you step shots on how I made it. Sound good to you? Okay let's go.

1. Cut/score card stock and place the #4 die onto the card, using the Spellbinders S5-027 Labels Twenty One set.
2. Create your embossing sandwich: (a.) base plate (b.) die blade side up (c.) embossing mat (d.) embossing plate. Then run through your machine (I used a Grand Calibur).
3. This is what your card looks like from the other side, once you take the mats off.
4. Remove the card & die template. You will have an embossed card front.
5. Using the same die template, create a mask, by cutting out paper so you have a die cut. Place it over the embossed area of the card.
6. Place Teeny Tiny Backdrops onto a block, ink it up really good, and from the top create a background, making sure to re-ink your image before stamping again. (I used the music notes background)
7. Continue stamping until the card front is covered with your background.
8. Remove the mask to uncover your embossed area.
9. Using the #3 die template from the Labels Twenty One set, cut/emboss card stock. Then stamp the Year One birthday cake image onto the die cut in orange ink, then stamp the sentiment over the cake using a strong black ink. (I used black Versafine ink)
10. Round the corners with a corner rounder tool.
11. Add foam squares to the backside of the die cut, and adhere to the card.
12. Add black cording & bling. (I used Kaisercraft black Rhinestones)
Finished card.
