350 Cards & Gifts Blog Hop
Have you seen this yummy issue?
Beautiful projects that will give you so much inspiration.
You can find a copy here.
I love making cards, absolutely love them.
However, it is fun to go beyond the card every once in a while...
You know, tags, bags, gift sets, and so much more.
I had so much fun creating projects for this issue. I think after cards, tags are my favorite thing to make. They just make everything cuter :)
Today twelve designers are going to show you never been seen before projects, that were inspired from this issue. Make sure to visit their blogs. I think each one is giving away a copy of 350 Cards & Gifts. So make sure to leave a comment.
Make sure to visit the Paper Crafts Connection blog, I hear they are having a fun give away!! (super awesome prize!!)
Today, I made a card set, using the pattern from Janice Whiting's Damask card set (pg. 30) The pattern can be found here. This is a really easy template to use, very user friendly. After I scored my card stock, I stamped a cute little cake stamp from Lawn Fawn called Year One (releasing in a few days), in Versamark ink. Versamark ink, is a pigment ink that leaves a water mark look when stamped with it. I then cut/embossed a Spellbinders Labels Twenty One, then stamped the birthday cake & sentiment onto to the die cut. I added ribbon & adhered the die cut to the front of the memory keeper
I wanted to keep the cards fairly clean looking, so I embossed the #4 Labels Twenty One die template onto the card front. Then cut/embossed the #3 Labels Twenty One die template, stamped the cake in an orange ink, and the sentiment in a black ink, I then adhered the die cut to the card front using foam adhesive. To finish the cards, I added black cording & purple KaiserCraft purple rhinestones. Oh, and I rounded the bottom corners.
