Lunar Lights: Happy Wishes

Woohoo, it is Wednesday.
This is a short school week for my children, so tomorrow is our Friday.  Plus no school on Monday.
Hooray for four day weekends.
So fabulous!
My son is still sick.  Since I picked him up early on Friday, he is better, but not well enough to attend school yet.  On Sunday we went to the urgent care/ER at the Navy Hospital.  His rapid strep test came back negative, so they diagnosed him with a viral upper respiratory infection, which is doctor language for a super bad cold/flu.  If he isn't better in a few days we need to go back.  His cough is getting worse, and seems to be moving into his chest.  My daughter, isn't feeling too hot either, but she will not miss school.  At least she will have the weekend to recover.
I am keeping myself hydrated to make sure I don't get their sickies.  I had that awful chest/head cold around the holidays, and I was out for around 3-4 weeks.  No thank you, I do not want a round two lol.

Well, here is another card using Lunar Lights by Lawn Fawn.  I love to paper piece those lanterns, then shade them just a bit using Copic Markers.  That lovely die cut, was made by cutting/embossing some white card stock, using a Spellbinders Labels Eighteen die template (love, love love it!).  The pattern paper is from We R Memory Keepers.  If a paper line has red and/or yellow in it, I am all over it!  My favorite color combination by far is red and yellow.  It just seems so happy to me.  Do you have a favorite color combination?
I hope you all have a great day!
Is it still cold in your neck of the woods?
I think we might have warm weather this weekend!  Woot!!

Adorable card Latisha! Love paper pieced lanterns and happy sunshiney colours ;) My go-to palette is kraft, aqua with a pop of red or pink.
Hope your littlies are better soon!!
I do love this color combo. My favorite is the pink and teal or so I thought until you posted this card. Your card is so cheerful. I hope your son is better and you don't get sick. A sick kid is never good, but being sick and taking care of a sick kid is really not good.

I'm seeing lantern stamps everywhere these days but I like Lawn Fawn's the best. I'm a fan of their stamps and I love the handwriting they use for their sentiments. Love how u used the patterned paper on them. I'm gonna check out Paper Smooches based on your card below. I'm getting to like the photopolymer stamps a lot, too. So easy to use. Thanks for the heads up!
