A few cards

Last week, I got my Oct Unity kit of the month and here are a few cards I made with some of the images.  There are lots of fun stamps in this kit, it makes me happy :)  To get a little more dimension in the sock monkey, I used some Sakura Glaze pens to fill in the polka dots & to color in the hat, mittens and socks, I also did some faux stitching around the card as well.  That cool striped paper is from the Nook and Pantry line from Basic Grey.

For this card, I used some Cosmo Cricket Earth Love paper, and created a little mountain side scene.  The plane and banner are from the Oct kit as well.  I stamped, paper pieced them and then mounted them on foam tape for a little more dimension.  The snails and heart are from the Early Bird Chipboard elements.  I had fun making this card, its a little out of the box for me, but I think it will make the person I'm giving this to, really happy because its just one of those cards that make you smile.
