Today is the third day of sneak peeks from Flourishes, and I get to show you two sets. The first is a Holly background, and the second card I used the Santa set. Both of these sets were created by a new designer, I'm sure most of you will know her name, she is Becky Fleck. To know more about her, head on over to the Flourishes Newsletter. They are also giving away these sets, for a one day only blog candy. There is a lot of cards being shown today, so I will try to keep this short and sweet. At the bottom of this post is the list of design team who all are showing off these beautiful stamps.
For my first card, I stamped the background stamp in versa mark, onto the green paper, to make a subtle background. The wreath is from the Seasonal Wreaths stamp set (which is quickly becoming one of my favorites), I stamped the image, distressed the edges and then went over the paper with some Tim Holtz walnut stain ink, to age it a bit. The sentiment is stamped onto twill ribbon, and again I ran ink over the ribbon to age it as well. When I was done with the card, I felt like something was missing, so I took a Sakura Glaze pen and made faux stitching.

For my second card, I am using the Santa set. Oh my goodness am I in LOVE with this sets, just the font of the sentiments alone had me sold. The placement, font, size....everything is perfect about these sentiments...ok, now you know I love them, here is the card lol. The santa is stamped in red memento ink, onto Flourishes classic white card stock, then I went around the santa with a B000 Copic marker. The designer paper is from Basic Grey, and what would be a card without ribbon and buttons.
