Colored Daffodil
Every Friday on the Flourishes Newsletter blog, the Design Team will take turns showcasing their favorite tips and techniques! This week, Julie Koerber steps up to the plate with one of her all time favorites - colored pencils. Check out the Newsletter for her tutorial, but first here is my card. I used the new Signs of Spring stamp set from Flourishes, and stamped up that beautiful Daffodil. I have some Koh-i-noor Woodless Color Pencils, that I chose to color with. I don't have any Gamsol or Odorless Mineral Spirits, so instead I used a PrismaColor Colorless Blender. With this tool, you can blend, layer & soften edges of colored pencil artwork.
Before you all start making comments that my card is really bright and bold, well I know that it is, but let me explain. It was almost 80 degrees yesterday, and I was driving across a bridge and the water, trees and sky were so beautiful, literally signs of spring were right before my eyes, so it put me in a bright bold mood >"<. Spring is coming! Sorry to my northern friends who have a little while longer still of winter...but thats why I live in Florida, winter and I don't play nice together. If it was up to my son, we would be in Maine with his favorite Miss Chris, so that he could play in the snow with Brock and Quinn.
