Color Challenge and prize
Its all about color today and the Flourishes design team wants to challenge you to look at everyday objects in a new way. This week its the colorful beauty of a peacock feather. So just look at the feather and get some inspiration from it and create a card or project, if you go to the Flourishes Newsletter blog, it will have all of the details. Just to add, if you decide to play along there are prizes to be had, one of them being all three of the new stamp sets that are being released next week. Once your card/project is done, just leave a comment on the Flourishes blog with your link or upload your project to SCS using the keyword FLLCFEB. I hope you get a chance to play, you never know you just might be the winner of new stamps!
Here is my card that I made from the inspiration of the peacock feather. I used the colors as my palette for my card, and I knew I wanted to use that little bird in the bird cage from the Love Nest stamp set (flourishes). I don't know if you can tell, but I did a light blue water color wash, I did this before I stamped my image, I used water colored prisma pencils to color in the bird. The scroll background stamp and sentiment are both from the Thank You set from Flourishes. The card base is Kraft, and the other two colors I used were Pacific Point & Old olive card stock, the image is stamped on water color paper.
Oh and to add, I used Kazan's sketch #19 from 2sketches4you you must pay that blog a visit they have the best sketches.
"thank you"

ps
I have no internet, cable or phone right now, I'm at Panera Bread as we speak. Comcast can't get a tech to my house until Sunday. I'm having problems with blogger right now too, so this post is supposed to be for Friday, so I'm sorry that its on today's...I've been working on this for over and hour now and it won't let me schedule a post for midnight.
Anyhow, so I might be MIA for a few days.
