Last Day of Releases and a challenge

Today I'm sharing the third newly released set from Flourishes llc, called Lace and Trim, it has a beautiful vintage feel to it, which I have enjoyed playing with.  The set was inspired by some antique lace that Jan Marie has (an owner of Flourishes), the lace is starting to fall apart, so they made it into a stamp to preserve the image/pattern.  Isn't that just so neat!!
For this card, I did very easy stamping (no technique or coloring involved) only using my stamp pad.  The sentiment is stamped on a label, which is a die from Spellbinders.  I added some red satin ribbon at the top and then added some red gems next to the sentiment to tie it all together.

Festive Flourishes Friday
This week I am playing along with the Friends of Flourishes blogging team, and the challenge is all about crisp and clean winter white cards.  You can dress it down using a monochromatic theme, or dress it up with a sparkly flair.  The only requirement is to use your favorite Flourishes stamp set.  If you play along make sure to use the keyword FFFC02 on splitcoast, there will be a drawing at the end of the month for a prize.
First off, I have a really hard time with monochromatic cards, I had to add the green, the tree, wasn't stamping very well in white, so I stamped it in the green and added white glitter (which is not showing up on the screen.  The tree image is from Forest of Trees, and the sentiment is from the Holiday Greetings set, both found here.  If you play along let me know, I can't wait to see what you come up with!

YOU are not going to believe this but I made a card yesterday that is almost identical to your tree card!!! Why don't you see it today? I was putting the finishing touches on it when I got a HUGE ink smudge and got so frustrated I walked away!!! LOL! Well, maybe it was meant to me - your card turned out too pretty! Glad you played! :-)
