Inspired Happiness

I have been feeling really inspired to create lately, I think its because I only buy what I love now & not stuff that is on sale or what seems to be a trend.  Don't get me wrong I love new stuff, I just know more about what I use and what I don't use and I kind of have stopped hoarding and I'm using up my stuff. (amazing I know lol)
So this card I just love, I don't think I can ever mail it out.  Do any of you do that?  This card is the whole enchilada.  I stamped, sewed, used chipboard, covered the chipboard, slapped on some buttons, twine & lace, used some yummy Noteworthy paper & the result is one paperlicious card >"<

"Happiness"
Noteworthy paper, Unity August kit of the month stamps, retired SU card stock, button, chipboard, lace, twine

Before I made the card I made this chipboard tag, I'm thinking I will turn it into a magnet or put in on my bookshelf in my room or use it as a bookmark.  Who knows what I will do with it?  I like it, and think its pretty & it makes me smile when I
look at it.  Again I am just so proud of myself for using some of this chipboard I have had forever.  I have a few more this size, so I want to make something fabulous with them.  I know there is a lot of ribbon on the tag, but I'm pretty sure the ribbon companies will make more >"<  I need to go back to the fabric store and buy more of the lace, I'm almost out.
So the chipboard is SU, but its retired now.  Thats the thing ladies, if you see something you like in a SU catalog buy it, because you wait it may be gone.  Totally off topic, but I have a Girl Power SU set that is now retired (its like a Girl Scout set) I have seen it sell for $80 on Ebay.  OK back to the tag, I could not get a good picture of it, its a lot nicer in real life.  I hate sucky pictures lol.  For this one I covered the chipboard with Graphic 45 paper, and then stamped Flourishes LLC, Coffee with friends & Flourished Elements stamps around the edges and then paper pierced the coffee cup.  I added lots of ribbon, lace & twine which added some more texture.  This makes me happy.  Thats my tip for the day, make something beautiful today that will make you smile, and put it out to look at, it will make you happy >"<  My tag is a reminder to me to relax more often.

I know what you mean about the SU sets. I have a couple rare ones, and seeing what they go for on eBay is unbelievable! Good to know if I ever decide to sell them!
