Twinkling H2O's

This week, Laura challenges us to use Twinkling H2O's to color in our image.  I have never used them before, but let me tell you, they are really easy to use!  Laura has a tutorial over on the Flourishes Newsletter, so be sure to check it out to learn a few tricks you may not know.  You have to believe me when I say this looks 1000 times better in real life >"<.  The butterflies are actually shimmery & sparkly, not to mention this isn't the best photo.  I stamped the butterflies onto water color paper.  I'm told that once your ink dries you need to wet your paper to prime it, kind of like a wash, then go in with the color.

Be sure to visit the other designers to peek at their amazing creations!

I know this is not my best card I've ever made, however I made it at Jan's house and I was asking everyone (nancy and sharon) if Jan had kraft paper...no she didn't.  I really wanted to use kraft, but I improvised and used a really pretty green instead.  This is so much nicer in real life, than in this ugly picture.  I just had to write that LOL.

Clicking on the photo to enlarge it up to see the detail, the shimmering of the butterflies does shine through. i like the alternate colored and all green scheme, kind of like shadoww lives, and the sentiment is so poignant, telling us how short life really is and what's important!
