Happy Halloween

Is anyone else wondering how it is August already? Where has this year gone? It truly is just flying by. I hope all of you have had a nice summer. Here in the States, kids are starting to go back to school and lots of people are taking late summer vacations. I live in Florida and I have been seeing lots, and lots of out of state plates. Anyhow, onto the projects!
I love a good purple/orange combo, especially in the autumn months and for Halloween projects. How about you?
Today I am sharing some Halloween projects using new stamps/dies/stencils from Taylored Expressions. To start, a white panel of cardstock was ink blended with orange and purple inks. Then using a MISTI, the spiderweb background image was stamped over the blended background with Oreo black ink, as well as the spiders. "Boo" was stamped in orange ink, then diecut with the coordinating die, and adhered to the card front with foam adhesive. The bats were diecut using the bat dies, then using the same purple ink, were ink blended for contrast. The front panel was then complete and added to the card with foam adhesive.

Have you ever "Boo-ed" a neighbor? When my children were younger, it was one of our favorite fall traditions. Making a basket full of goodies for neighbors, leaving the basket, and ding dong ditching and running away before they could see us.
This cute little kit with the glassine bags, little critters & stickers are such a fun way to give away treats. I mean look at them?!

I wanted to try something different with the glassine bags, so I put them in different embossing folders, ran them through a diecut machine an embossed them. They turned out better than I thought. So if you are looking for a different way to snazzy up glassine bags, try embossing them!

Once fall arrives, its time to pull out all of your glittered cardstock. Because everything becomes way more festive when its made with glittered cardstock, and these spooky critters are no exception to that. I mean look at that cuteness!!

At first look, this is just a halloween card, but when you look closer, there is a lot going on. First the card base was cut and scored with Candy Corn cardstock. Pineapple cardstock was trimmed, then using the Jack-o-lantern stencil, orange ink was applied with a blender brush. Before adhering the panel to the card with foam adhesive the large "Happy Halloween" was stamped in Oreo black ink using a MISTI. The bats were diecut with black glittered cardstock, and then adhered with foam adhesive.
