Dear Dad

When it comes to making masculine cards, the key is keeping them simple and to the point. For this card, I wanted a side fold card, to allow more space for this large sentiment to have breathing room. First the card was cut and scored to 4.25 x 5.5 inches. The ticks & tacks stencil and blender brushes was created to make the background. Then the bold "dear dad" sentiment was stamped last. To make the sentiment stand out, I outlined it using a white gel pen. To embellish, a simple twine bow was added.

The sentiments from this stamp set are so great, it was hard to narrow it down. To start the card base was created from toffee cardstock. To create the background, the clear hop stamps were stamped multiple times in sugar cube ink, until the card front was covered. I wanted the sentiment and beer to be in the bottom right corner, so the sentiment was stamped in black. Then the beer mug outline was stamped in black, then filled in with yellow ink, and adhered to the card using foam adhesive. The foam was colored in with a white gel pen, as well as the bubbles. Twine was added as a simple embellishment.
