Lawn Fawn: Flutter By
Hello there!
A long while back, Lawn Fawn released a stamp set called Flutter By. Well, that stamp set finally has dies that coordinate with the stamps! I am so very happy about this!! I just love butterflies, they will never go out of style/trend for me, ever.
If you head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog, a few older stamp sets are getting coordinating dies, as well as a few new dies are being shown!! So go check it out, because I hear there are a few giveaways as well.

Some stampers, like to stamp & die cut their images first. But I stamp my image, color it in, and then die cut last. It is just easier for me that way, and I want to make sure, especially if I am using Copic markers, that I didn't get ink outside the lines.
A little tip, use a low tac tape such as washi tape, to secure your die when you are diecutting a stamped image. You don't want to spend all that time coloring in an image, for your die to move while you are in the process of die cutting. So secure those dies down.
I really had no idea what I was going to make when I sat down to make this project. I stamped a few butterflies, and just started coloring using the Copics that were on my table. To be honest I was too lazy to even think about color combinations lol. I had a few pinks, and blues and a gold.
Once I finished, I went through my 12x12 card stock, to find papers that had coordinated tones to match my images. I was lucky and found the same color, but if you do not have a large stash of solid papers, you might want to pick your Copics out to match the cardstock you have on hand. There is nothing worse than not having papers to match.
For a little dimension the butterflies were popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares, as well as the white panel. The results you get by using foam squares, are quite dramatic if you ask me. You really want a project to have depth. Sometimes that is by using shadows with markers, or by creating layers. Alot of times, projects can look flat. Usually thats because there is no depth. The easiest way for me to create depth, is just by using foam squares. They are my "go-to" staple in creating. I used them for almost everything.
