Lawn Fawn: Quinn's ABC's & some talky talk

Oh, how I have waited months to show this stamp set on my blog!  I was completely in love with this stamp set from the moment I saw it.  It is a larger scale alphabet set, that is perfect to color in, paper piece or just stamp alone.
In a little over a day, my husband will be coming home from his deployment.  Most of you know, he is a helicopter pilot in the US Navy, and this deployment was really rough.  It has been a little over 6 months since me or my children have seen him, so the anxiety level in my house, is through the roof right now.
I plan on writing him a little note inside this card, and placing on his side of the bed.  I will probably apologize too for being a bed hog until I get used to him being there again lol.
With each hour of this deployment coming to a close, I feel a release of sorts.  For the last 6 months, I have had to be the Mom, Dad, friend, disciplinarian, coach, teacher, taxi driver, money hander-overer, tear wiper, among other things.  I have had to be strong, when I felt like falling apart.  There were moments where I missed him so badly, I would have sold my soul to the devil just for a hug.  I have willingly devoted my entire adult life to him and my children, so to have him be gone for so long, was incredibly lonely.  There wasn't a moment of my day when my thoughts didn't go to him.  So I guess that release I feel, is just me not having to be strong anymore, and that is a great feeling.
I want to take a moment to thank all of my friends, family, fellow designers, companies I design for and you the blog readers who have made my days brighter.  I had a few rough parts during these 6 months, and a few you all really stepped up.  You have laughed with me, cried with me, let me vent and just listened.  I know who my true friends are, and they mean the world to me!  I could not have made it without all of you, thank you doesn't fully equate the emotion and love that I am trying to express, but I have no other words. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!  I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but there are a few people I need to single out.  They called me every. single. day. and are the truest of true friends, and I love them so much.  AJ, Nicole & Kelly thank you for being my anchors and keeping me steady...xoxo...t

Well, back to the card...so this is for my husband, I missed him just a little lol.  The pattern paper is from Crate Paper, and the alphabet was colored in using Copic markers (r27, 559, bg13 & bg18), and I bought the rope in Greece, but Canvas Corps has something very similar.

Make sure to visit the Lawn Fawn blog, as well as the rest of the designers to see what they cooked up using this fabulous set!

materials used:
yellow card stock
Lawn Fawn's Quinn ABC set
Crate Paper
corner rounder

What a great card. Thank you to you and your children for being without a husband & daddy; to your DH for serving our country. We have some friends whose family was recently reunited after a year-long deployment separation. It's a joy and an adjustment for everyone. I know you're SO excited for tomorrow to get here!!!

GORGEOUS card, Latisha...your hubby is going to LOVE it!

Happy homecoming for all your family. As someone who is also from a family that has to be apart for long periods, please let me caution you not to expect too much from him for his first week or so. He needs to decompress before he can really pick up his part of the family responsibilities. Good luck to you and your family!!!
Brought tears to my eyes reading your post, thank goodness the wait is over. Lovely card! :-)

I love the card (as always)!

Thank you for being there for me through deployment as well. You were there to talk to when I needed someone the most and for that I will forever be grateful. You and the kids also helped make this deployment go by much faster than I thought it would and we made some great memories along the way. Love you!
