Just saying hello

To all of the Mothers out there, I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.
With my hubby still deployed, Mother's Days are a little different, but the kids and I still had a wonderful day and I felt so loved.  We decided to get out of town for a few days, eat good food and try to relax.

Today, I have a cute little card to show you using the Sunshine & Smiles stamp set from Avocado Arts.  This little flower makes me so happy.  I was feeling kind of blue before I started making this card, but through the process of creativity, I felt renewed once I was done.  Does that ever happen with you?  How being creative (in any way) can change your mind set.  There are far too many critics out there ready to bring you down, but as long as I am happy with the end result, that is all that matters.  Right?

Side tracked...back to the card :)
The flowers were colored in with Copic markers (R24, R29, R45, R43, R35, YG02) and I popped the left flower up with foam tape.  There seemed to be a little too much of white space at the top of my card, so I added some ribbon, and that seemed to balance out the card a little better.

Materials Used:
Sunshine & Smiles stamp set from Avocado Arts
Bazzill card stock
Neenah card stock
Copic markers
Memento Ink
American Crafts This to That foam tape
corner rounder

Hi Latisha! Who cares about critics, I love your work and your card today is proof of how awesome you are as a creator of beauty! Love the white space and that beautiful ribbon you added! I know what it feels like not to have hubby home on Mother's Day and other important days, but we get through it, somehow! Happy Mother's Day from another Mom who also spent it alone!

Hi Latisha! I'd love to chat with you about a teaching opportunity. I'm sorry to contact you this way, but I couldn't find an email address. :) If you want to email me at amcgrew@missartspapercrafting.com I'd love to share the info. Thanks!

Gorgeous card! I love your coloring, the bling, and the ribbon was the perfect add! ;D
I LOVE this! Girl you need to color more, this is stunning, STUNNING work! and Critics? who needs 'em. Art is so subjective, and although I love to make people happy w/ my creations, if I'm satisfied w/ it, that's fine by me :) Personally, I think your clean, crisp style is fantastic and you always know the right 'pop' of accent color to add. I LOVE your work!...and the person behind it is pretty darn great, too :)
OHHH! I LOOOOOOVE the blue with the pink/red flowers! LOVE LOVE LOVE:)
