Belated birthday card using Taylored Expressions

I know, I know...I was such a horrible blogger this past week!  It has been one of those weeks where I have a million an one deadlines due all at the same time.  I can breathe easier now that I checked off a bunch of things.  My daughter turned 15 over this last weekend, so I dedicated my time to her and my son, so it made this week a little nutty.
So, one late night last week.  I placed an order to Taylored Expressions.  I have had my eye on a few sets, so it was time to purchase them.  My stamps came in the mail yesterday, and I made this card last night with one of them.  The stamp can be seen here.  It is called Belated Birthday - Stand Out.  For those of you not familiar with TE stamps, they are made out of a deeply etched red rubber (so you will get a nice stamped impression), and mounted on cling.  So they will cling to your clear blocks.
I stamped the image onto white card stock, then colored in the image using Copic markers.  I did use a lot of colors (too many to list), but they were mostly in the red family.  Once my image was colored in, I cut/embossed the card stock using a Spellbinders Large Labels die template.  I then placed it onto my card (yellow card stock & MME Stella & Rose 6x6 paper) using foam tape.
This is a simple design, but I think it pops because of the coloring (just my opinion lol), especially the reds.  It wasn't until I was done, that I realized it was a nice but weird color combination, lots of contrast going on, but I like it.
If you are like me, you can get cards out late sometimes...so this is the perfect set for us last minute Lucy's.

This card is darling! What did you use to color the birds? And I would like to see how you finished the inside.
