Lawn Fawn Hello Friend

Happy December 1, 2010!
I really cannot believe this year is coming to an end.  Is it just me or does time go by faster the older you get?  It sure feels that way sometimes.  Today on this first day of December, I get to share with you a sneak of a stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  This set which will be available tomorrow, is called Hello Friend.  It is a fun take on sentiments.
Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog, and leave a comment to win this set. Also, the design team has some great projects using this set, so check them out as well.

The card base is a thick textured card stock, and I layered it with some Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 pattern paper from the mini deck.  I had some really pretty grosgrain ribbon lying around, it was just a scrap, so I had to be creative in how I used it.  So I put some scor-tape down, then laid the ribbon down and ruffled it just a bit.  Instead of sewing it into place or using tape to hold it down, I used embroidery floss to hold it into place.  I die cut & embossed pattern paper, and card stock using a Spellbinders Labels Sixteen die template set.  With a red Copic marker, I colored in some of the letters.  To finish off the card, I rounded the right hand bottom corner, sometimes that is just enough to soften up a card a bit.

Materials Used:

textured card stock
