Back to Basics Thank You card

One of my favorite places to send my cards is Operation Write Home.
Cards are sent to deployed Armed Forces, then they are able to use the cards to send home.  One of the requirements, is that they are not bulky.  If you have some cards laying around, please think about sending them to Operation Write Home.  From personal experience, getting snail mail from my husband when he is gone, is the best feeling.
It is fun to use stamping techniques that I first learned.  For this card, I did some basic stamping techniques, like embossing with clear embossing powder, and creating my own pattern paper by stamping an image repeatedly.  I paper pierced around the edge of the sentiment, and didn't really like the way it looked, so I took some floss, and ran it through the holes for a simple stitch.  Adding the ruffled yellow ribbon, and tying a bow with the floss added a nice feminine touch.  The stamps are from Mint Motif, sold exclusively through i{heart}papers.

Materials used:

Palette ink
