Verve inspiration pillow challenge

I know this isn't the best picture, but holy moly is it bright outside & too dark inside, so this is the best I could come up with. Anyhow, this card is an inspiration challenge going on at Verve you can link to it here http://vervevisual.blogspot.com/2008/04/another-vervalicious-challenge-for-you.html the winner will get $15 in verve bucks to spend at the store. Now that we have the deets, on to the card. I took my inspiration from the colors and the detailed flowers. If you have Verve stamps they wanted to use them and since I only have two of her sets {need to get more} I was a little limited but I made it work with some creative thinking. I'm not sure if its a requirement to use Verve stamps or not I guess I should have re-read the post before starting. It made it fun for me having a limited amount of stamps to work with. Sometimes when you have to choose from a jamillion {yes that's a word, ask a 5 year old lol} stamps its overwhelming. I really lucked out because I still have some yummy MME Bohemia double sided paper, it has really rich deep colors and is a little heavier than regular designer paper. The paper just happened to be blue with flourishes...awesome! Then on the backside of the paper was a solid blue, so far everything was coming together nicely. I used my summer sun and not quite navy ink pads {su} for my colors, those seemed to coordinate the best. All of the little flowers are from the Verve stamp set Thoughtful Florals {set of 11 for only $9 flowers and sentiments} so affordable people. I just mixed and matched the flowers and then cut some out & used a dimensional to give it some...dimension lol {sorry that just sounded cheesy and makes me laugh}. On the edges of the card I paper pierced & used a Inkssentials white pen to make faux stitches. I also used the white pen to trace around some of the flowers to make them pop a little more. The flowers that are behind the sentiment are still stamped in not quite navy they are just the 3rd and 4th generation {generation stamping is where you keep stamping the image without re inking the stamp}. All the glitter and sparkle that you see on the card is from my new Sakura Stardust pen. The ribbon is by May Arts.
This is the first time in 2 weeks that I have been able to stamp because of the move. I'm a little rusty but my mojo will come back eventually.
