I think I got my "mojo" back!

So I'm done traveling, my dad is back in CA, (he was here for about 11 days) my husband is back to work and the kids go back to school on Monday. It has been a very busy last few weeks. Not to mention I am battling with a minor Crohn's flare up. I keep telling myself I have been through worse than this, so things are going to be OK.
Well I made a compostition book like this for my neice Wentir (sounds like winter) for Christmas, because she loves to write and draw. Plus my brother and her mom can never find anything with her name on it. So I guess the morning of Christmas she opened up her present from me (well the comp book) and she was so excited that she had her own book with her name on it. The whole time I was altering her book I kept thinking that I wanted it, and an 8 year old isn't going to care about some notebook. So I was happy to hear my hard work was appreciated.
Back to this composition book lol. I am in a Papertrey ink swap and I have a ton of thank you cards make. So last night I got everything I would need to get those two tasks done. I swear I just looked at the paper and could not get into it. I went onto scs and my favorite blogs, still no inspiration. Then I went to my friend Chris's blog and she had made some notebooks, and it reminded me how much I wanted to keep my niece's compostion book I had made her. I knew I wanted to use my pack of Cosmo Cricket paper, it was talking to me lol and I knew I had to use my new Green Thumb papertrey ink stamp set, it also was talking to me LOL. What do you know I made this perfect composition book just for ME! The awesome thing is that every year I go to Barnes and Noble and spend a ton of money on journals, now I don't have to do that. Writing in a journal is something I have done since I was a little girl. Plus when your husband goes out to sea and on deployments a journal can be your best friend. Anyhow I know I am rambling, but I am so proud of myself. I normally would give this away. That is one of my new years resolutions, ( i don't make resolutions this is just something I am going to work on) to make more time for me and learn to not spread myself too thin. Happy 2008 everyone!!

supplies used: composition book, cosmo cricket dutch girl paper, Green Thumb by Papertrey ink, Alphabet set also by papertrey ink, Chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon, Bashful Blue ink by SU and L'Amore Red ink by Palette oh and the red sticky tape stuff :)
