Happy Halloween

Image
Happy Halloween!! With one of my children off at college, and the other one in the 8th grade.  Halloween isn't as festive as it used to be.  I still wanted my son to feel special (he is going to a Halloween Party, not trick or treating) so I made his a little candy filled glasine bag. The "boo" letters were die cut from the black Fancy Pants corrugated card stock, using Lawn Fawn Cuts.  I adhered the diecuts onto the tag (Fancy Pants True Friend Tags), and added a few alphabet sticker as well as a cute owl sticker. Materials Used: Fancy Pants True Friend Tag Fancy Pants True Friend Alpha Stickers (collection kit) Fancy Pants True Friend Buttons (owl) Fancy Fants black corrugated cardstock Lawn Fawn orange trimmings Lawn Fawn die cuts glassine bag Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L EZ Runner Permanent

World Card Making Day

Image
Happy World Card Making Day Here is a fun card I created in celebration of today. I loved that the feather diecuts from the Fancy Pants Burlap & Bouquets Ephemera pack, coordinate with the Feathers dies I have from Spellbinders.  I love that I could combine the two.  Feathers are still on trend, and probably will be for a while longer.  I remember when I would find a random bird feather on the ground as a child, I would think that the feather was magic. I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares to help give my project dimension.  A lot of times, when I feel like a card isn't working, if I add 3d foam squares it gives it that right touch to help balance out my card.  I think it may be a visual thing for me...projects that seem flat, kind of confuse my eyes.  Like there isn't somewhere for them to settle. I absolutely love this sentiment!  The combination of the fonts work so well.  It is a Lawn Fawn stamp s...

Fancy Pants Designs: Oh Deer! Christmas Cards

Image
Y'all how is tomorrow October 1st? Normally I have started my Christmas shopping by now, and I have not.  I feel like I am living on the edge, but I'm okay with that lol. I freaking LOVE Christmas...like i love it so much, I would marry it.  Christmas is my very favorite holiday.  But it kinda stresses me out, not gonna lie.  Every year, I try to get ahead by starting cards early, but time just slips away from me. But that does not stop me from trying!! Today, I am sharing a few Christmas cards that I recently created, to get ahead in the game.  Both of them were created using the Fancy Pants Designs, Oh Deer! Collection. I did a more layered card with lots of fun embellishments, and then a more toned down simple card.  I know everyone one has different styles and tastes.  So I am hoping today serves you all :) Here is a more simple card using the same collection: Materials Used: Fancy Pants Designs Oh Deer! Lawn Fawn: Snow Day stamps

Image
Today, I am sharing a tag project using the Snow Day stamps & coordinating dies.  There are more projects using this set over on the Lawn Fawn Blog , as well as a giving away. I absolutely love making tags.  They are smaller than a card, making it easier to find balance.  Sometimes cards are just too big for some stamps. I wanted to watercolor different shades of blue onto watercolor paper.  I tend to do this when my husband is watching something uninteresting (like football) on television.  So I watercolor, let it sit overnight, ready for me to use in the morning. The reason why my stamp is smeared...is because I stamped my sentiment, then sprayed the paper with a shimmer spritz, and it totally activated the watercolor & the ink, making it run.  I still like my project.  But I guess the lesson I take away, is spritzing shimmer before you stamp? So far, I have a nice little stash of holiday cards ready to be used for Christmas, which m...
