For this first card, I knew I wanted to do a rainbow of butterflies in a gradient kind of way. The body of the butterflies was stamped in Oreo ink. Then using the stencils and a blender brushes, inking the butterflies in the red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple order . I saw that one of the envelope seals matched perfectly, so I put some foam tape on the back, trimmed it a little bit and placed it on the card for my sentiment.

The peaches & cream cardstock from TE, is so pretty. Its fast becoming one of my favorite colors to use this spring. With a little bit of experimenting and layering ink colors, I was able to make a tonal peachy pink card. Once the body of the butterflies were stamped, and the stenciled background was completed. Using the same base cardstock, I stamped the clear butterflies, then diecut them with the coordinating die. The sentiment was stamped then diecut using a circle die. The circles and butterflies were then all adhered to the card using foam adhesive.

To get the stamped bodies of the butterflies to not appear on the card base, I place a sheet of printer paper at an angle, to protect the card base. Then repeated the same technique while ink blending the butterflies. Once the background was completed, a trimmed piece of earl grey cardstock was adhered at an angle. The sentiment and butterflies were stamped to complete the card.
