Sassy Love Your Guts

Image
Hello friends! Another sneak peak at the March release for Technique Tuesday.  Today I am using a stamp set called Sassy Love Your Guts.  It has several images and sentiments.  Some of the sentiments are pretty funny.  I have never been stung by a jellyfish, however, I do live in Florida so I know lots of people and tourists who have. So this was very quite comical to me lol. For this card I stamped the jellyfish in versa fine onyx black ink.  Then using assorted Zig water color brush pens and an aqua brush, water colored the card panel.  The paper I watercolored and stamped on is from Bristol.  Some of the images seemed a little flat, so I had to add color to them in several layers. The full stamp set reveal of the Sassy Love Your Guts is on the Technique Tuesday blog.

Life Is Beautiful

Hello friends, today I am sharing a card using the Cherry Blossoms stamp set from Technique Tuesday .  This is Day 1 sneak peak of the March release. For this card, I stamped the cherry blossom main image onto white card stock.  Next, using Zig water color pens and an aqua brush, I water colored the images.  I know these are not typical cherry blossom flower colors, but with spring on the way, I was feeling that they needed a vibrancy.  Once the paper was dry, I cut along the bottom of the image at a diagonal, adhered foam tape onto the back panel and sat it aside.   Next, I trimmed white card stock, stamped the sentiment in black ink, and adhered the panel to aqua card stock.  I then added the colored image panel, adhered it and to finish, I added a few pink Nuvo drops. I am still what I would consider a novice at using the Zig water color pens, but they are extremely user friendly if you are on the fence about getting them.

Hay There

Firstly, that I I stamped the little pig in black ink, created a mask for it, and then stamped the cow and horse images.  Making the pig, helped create this fun scene, and adds dimension on a flat card. Next, I watercolored the images using Zig watercolors makers and an aqua brush.  The main panel was diecut using a rectangle die, and adhered to a watercolor paper card base.  To embellish, the twine bow was added in the corner. From all of Us

This little mini set called Easter Party, might be my favorite stamp set of this release.  What could be better than cute little humans dressed as a flower, duck and Easter bunny? Very few things. I stamped this image five times, and colored in each one using Copic Markers.  I wanted a line of rainbow girl flowers to match the pattern paper.  So each one was colored in a color of the rainbow.  After I colored them in, they were die cut using coordinating dies, and adhered to the card using foam adhesive. Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog , for more great inspiration and a chance to win this set!

Some Bunny

Super cute stamp set, and crazy fun new Easter Egg dies?! Sign me up! This new stamp set called Some Bunny is so cute, and has great spring/easter sentiments and images.  For this project, I stamped a bunch of my favorite images, and colored them in using Copic markers.  Once they were colored in, using the coordinating diecuts, I cut them out.  The Easter Egg frame and shape, are two different die sets.  I am imagining super cute Easter Egg shaker cards using them. Happy Easter Pivot Pop Up

Image
Lawn Fawn has created such an ingenious pop up die, called the Pivot Pop Up.  It allows an entire scene of your choice to pop up, when you open a card. It is seriously so cool!  If you head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog or youtube, there is an excellent video that will walk you step by step on how to use this die! The die set includes, trees, clouds, hills etc to really have fun with the set.  I included some images from the Easter party stamp set.  The sky was created with watercolors, and then i watercolored over the hill also using a pearl green watercolor which gives it a sparkly glisten. I am so ready for spring, Easter and for flowers to be in bloom and this card is just a ray of sunshine.

One of the best feelings as a cardmaker is when you can create a card based on what is in your head.  It always doesn't work out, but its exciting when it does!  This stamp set called Rub a dub dub, has a lot of open images, so if you love to color, this is the stamp set for you! Now, can we talk about that background for a minute? It is called Quilted Backdrop, and I am in love! Love I tell ya!  It is so soft and elegant, I have a million cards I want to make with it! Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog to see more projects using these products and a chance to win them as well!! Details The images were stamped in black ink, then colored in with copic markers before die cut out.  The little yellow drops are Nuvo drops which add the perfect touch.
