Seasons Greetings

Image
Today I am sharing a fun card perfect for the Holidays, which means one less Christmas card that I need to make! I used the Home For the Holidays mini stamp set paired with the Tiny Towns border, both from Lawn Fawn, to create this card.  I die cut plaid christmas paper with the border die, and then inked the top edges to make the houses pop.  Before I adhered the border down, I stamped the trees in a selection on Lawn Fawn green inks.  The car was colored in using copic markers, and I used twine to wrap around the tree to have it look like the tree was tied down to the car. Perfectly Plaid Winter

Image
I have no idea when my obsession with plaid started, but if I had to guess it was early 80's?  I love plaid shirts, plaid pants, skirts etc...so when Lawn Fawn started making plaid paper, my mind exploded.  Plaid + paper crafting = me very happy!! Today I am sharing a fun treat bag that I decorated using the Plaid Winter 6x6 paper, stamps and dies. This years winter release from Lawn Fawn is ridiculous, and I mean that in the best possible way.  From 3 plaid collections, stamps, dies and inks I am in crafty heaven!! Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog , to see how the other designers used this paper in their projects!

Scripty Merry & Wishes

Image
Many years ago, I bought several of these kraft coffee bags/treat bags, just to have on hand.  They are great to stamp on, put stickers on or in my case today, alter with pattern paper and die cuts. Using Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper, I adhered some 6x6 pattern paper onto the front of the bag.  I then die cut red card stock using the tiny town border die & adhered it to the bottom of the bag.  Next the grey card stock was die cut and adhered to the bag.   I grabbed a sheet of foam adhesive, trimmed it town, peeled on side of the sticker off and applied some red card stock to it.  Next I placed the "merry" & "wishes" dies onto the card stock, and die cut them.  Since they were diecut onto a foam adhesive sheet, when I pulled the diecuts out, foam adhesive was cut perfectly on the back side of the red card stock.  Which made it so easy to adhere to the grey die cut circle. To embellish I added twine onto a clip whic...

Tiny Tags

Image
Hello Friends! Lately I have only wanted to make treat boxes, pillow boxes or altered bags.  Maybe its because the holidays are quick approaching or because you don't have to follow the same design rules at you would if you were making a card. I have a few pillow boxes that I made, using the Tiny Tags Sayings stamp set as well as the Tiny Tag dies.  The two kraft boxes were stamped completely to create a custom pattern paper, and then on the red pillow box, I stamped little hearts inside the plaid boxes.  The heart and star tags were distressed with ink, before stamping the sentiment. Perfectly Plaid Christmas

Image
Hello Friends!   Today I am sharing a very quick and easy project, decorated candy tubes.  I used the Perfectly Plaid Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad, a paper trimmer, adhesive and twine.  Each pattern was trimmed to 1/2 inch to 4 inches, adhesive was applied on the back of the paper, and then adhered to the container.  To embellish, I added twine. What is great about decorating these tubes, is how simple it would be to customize for an event.  You just change the paper to suit your needs. Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog , for more great projects using this paper line, as well as a chance to win this paper line!

Snow Cool Distressed & Embossed Card

Image
Hello Friends! Are you following along with the Lawn Fawn September Inspiration Week?  Today I am sharing a card using a few stamping techniques that I enjoy doing, heat embossing and ink distressing.  I started by inking up the snow background stamp from the Snow Cool set using VersaMark ink.  VersaMark ink is a watermark and embossing ink.  I applied clear embossing powder over the stamped image, and then heat embossed the card using a heat gun.  Using the Blue Jay ink from Lawn Fawn and a blending tool, I applied ink to the front of the card.  I started at the top of the card, working my way down to the bottom, to create a gradient look.  I stamped the sentiment in the same blue jay ink, and added the little snow flakes too.  The penguins were stamped, diecut and colored, then adhered to the card using foam adhesive to give the card some depth.  To embellish twine and sequins were added. This stamp and die set is called Snow Cool...

Sprinkled With Joy Gift Tag & Bag

Image
Hello friends! I decorated a bag, perfect for storing cookies using the Sprinkled With Joy stamp set and dies from Lawn Fawn.  Its a really cute baking set, focusing on sugar cookies.  I love that there are a few different dies for the stove, including one where the oven opens (as shown).  The cute factor and genius behind this set is ridiculous. Some times there just is not room to add a sentiment on a tag, thats why i love to stamp on bags as well.  Its an extension of the tag and just completes the project nicely. There are a ton of projects using this set over on the Lawn Fawn Blo g, they are also giving away this stamp and die set!  Head on over and leave a comment, and leave a little inspired!

Frosty Fairy Friends

Image
Hello friends! There is still another week of Summer, however its all about the Holidays over on the Lawn Fawn Blog.  Today is the start of the September Inspiration Week, and I am sharing a fun stamped card using the Frosty Fairy Friends stamp set. I stamped the bottom panel of the card front using a few different Lawn Fawn inks, then distressed the edges and center, so it wouldn't be so stark white.  I added a few different pattern paper from the Perfectly Plaid Christmas collection, to complete the first layer of the card front.  I die cut white card stock using the dotted circle die, stamped around the edges, stamped the sentiment and adhered it to the card using foam tape.  I stamped, diecut and then colored in the fairies using copic markers, and adhered them to the circle die cut.  To embellish I added glitter to the wings, and some twine to tie a bow. Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog , to see more great projects using this set!!

Lawn Fawn: Thanks a Bushel

Image
Hello friends! As children all over the US head back to school, I decided to make a fun teachers gift.  Using the new stamp set and dies called Thanks a Bushel from Lawn Fawn, I made this plain muslin bag into something cute. I'm not sure where I bought these plain muslin bags, but if I had to guess, probably a $1 section at a store.  With black ink, I stamped the apples and basket of apples onto the bottom of the bag.  I made sure that each time I stamped that there was plenty of ink on the stamp and that I applied firm even pressure.  I then colored in the images with copic markers.  Since these markers bleed, I had to lightly color near the edges.  I stamped the hearts in a red ink.  I die cut the tag from red felt and die cut a circle using burlap.  Using the same circle die, I die cut a white circle, trimmed it down and stamped a sentiment. For more great project using this set, as well as a chance to win some fabulous product,...

Lawn Fawn: Perfectly Fall Plaid

Image
Hello friends!  Today I am sharing another treat bag, using the Scalloped Treat bag die and Stitched tree border dies from Lawn Fawn.  If you head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog , the focus today is the Perfectly Plaid Fall pattern paper, as well as new card stock and ink (like storm cloud...its a dark grey). Yesterday I talked about how easy is it is to create this treat bag.  Today I die cut the Stitched trees die and adhered it to the front of the bag using foam adhesive, it just gives the bag that little extra touch.  I didn't add a tag, but adding a stamped sentiment onto the twine would be super cute! Materials Used: Lawn Fawn Scalloped treat bag die Lawn Fawn Stitched Tree border die Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Fall pattern paper Lawn Fawn twine

Lawn Fawn: Scalloped Treat Bag & Bows

Image
Hello friends, I am back today sharing a treat bag.  Lawn Fawn has another die that when die cut twice, creates a scalloped treat bag.  The score lines are created when you die cut it, so all you have to do is fold along the lines, add adhesive and adhere together.  There is a great video that explains how to use the die over on the Lawn Fawn youtube channel, and on the blog.  Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog , to see all of the wonderful projects using todays featured products.  The Bow die, is also new this month, there are three different sized bows. I used the Perfectly Plaid Fall 12x12 pattern paper to create this bag, as well as the bow.  Each bag you need to die cut twice, so you can get 4 bag diecuts to make 2 treat bags from a single sheet of 12x12 paper.  The Halloween image and sentiment are from the Plan On It: Holidays stamp set.

Lawn Fawn: Happy Howloween

Today's post is for everyone, but especially for planner addicts, and those who love to stamp in their planners.  The second Lawn Fawn planner stamp set has been released.  This set focuses on month, days of the week, days of the month and a few season images.  It is great as a stand alone set or a great companion to the first planner set that Lawn Fawn released. As you can see below, I used both sets to plan out the week shown.   Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog, to see how the designers used this set in very creative ways!  Also for a chance to win this set!

Scripty Smile, Stiched Kite & Grassy Hillside

Image
There are many things that I love about Lawn Fawn products, but it is incredibly awesome how the products are so interchangeable.  No matter if you own 1 stamp set or 20, they all coordinate together, and there is not exception to the dies either. For this card, I created it solely on card stock, dies, pattern paper and adhesive (oh and twine) and even though they are completely different themes, they seamlessly coordinate.  Love that!! If you head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog today, you can check out many beautiful projects as well as win a chance to win the dies I used on this card.

Shooting Star, Make Me Smile & Big Scripty Words

Image
Shooting Star, Make Me Smile and Big Scripty Words...now say that three times lol.  Those are some of the newest dies and stamps that are being released this week from Lawn Fawn (among many others).  The Make Me Smile die set, are different smiling emojis/faces to die cut into images.  After I die cut the star, I die cut one of the faces into it so that the star would be smiling!  So super cute!! There are many new stamps and dies being showcased over on the Lawn Fawn Blog .  If you like this project head on over there to see more great projects as well as a chance to win the products shown!!

Lawn Fawn: Dad & Me and Stitched Mountains

Lawn Fawn: Mermaid For You

Image
I may have let out a little gasp and sigh when I first saw the images of this stamp set.  Few things are more magical than a mermaid.  The sentiments are so cute and punny and really just make me happy. I am talking about the new summer release from Lawn Fawn called Mermaid for You stamp and coordinating die set. I love making shaped cards, and I knew this was going to be a circle card.  So that was my starting point.  I stamped the images, and then started coloring in the different mermaids and sea creatures.  This was how I determined the color scheme and matched the card stock accordingly.  Since this is a stamp and coordination die set, it made it easier to create depth by die cutting a few images and popping them up using foam adhesive.  I use foam adhesive on every project I create, it really creates the perfect amount of depth that prevents a project from looking too flat.  The sea grass was created by stamping different tones of a...

My husband is deployed right now, so I created this card with him in mind.  I'm going to place it in the next box of goodies I send to him. I have no idea what color a Kraken is, but it was fun to imagine, so I used an assortment of blue and green Copic markers.  I stamped the image, die cut it out, then colored it in.  I set it aside while i created a little bit of depth on the front of the card.  I created waves with two different inks, and stamped stars on the top as well.  Adhered the kraken die cut using foam adhesive and then embellished us...
