Grateful for You

Image
Can you believe we are headed into fall?  It is still warm in these parts, but my allergies are telling me fall is right around the corner.  It is that time to start stocking up on cute fall and Halloween cards (probably Christmas too). Today, I am sharing a quick and easy card using the September stamp set from Avocado Arts.  The photo isn't picking up the coloring too well, but the pumpkin is colored in with Copic markers.  The card seemed "off" for some reason, so I sponged a little bit of orange ink at the bottom of the card to balance it out a little bit.  Visit these other designers today, to see how they used this great fall stamp set. Lawn Fawn: Check This Out

Image
Here a bookmark that I am sharing with you today, using the Check This Out stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  All of the designers are showcasing projects using this stamp set today, so head on over to the blog to "check" them out lol, and also for a chance to win this set. I am an avid reader, I read every, single day.  Besides crafting, my hobby that I love most is reading...and photography, and cooking lol, but reading is high up on my list.  I was at my sons Open House the other night, and the Book Fair happened to be running at the same time.  We purchased some books, and he wanted a bookmark (so I got him one).  I wanted one as well, but they were not my style or cute.  So, I decided I would make myself a bookmark. I started out with a Jilliibean Soup kraft tag, then used the pick fence distress stain to ink up the edges a bit (white).  After I stamped, and cut out the library book card, I placed white photo corners on each corner, and again "wh...

This is a super cute mini set called Hoppy Halloween, being showcased today by the Lawn Fawn Designers.  I love how adorable this bunny is, especially with those little fangs hahahaha.  For a chance to win this set, head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog , and leave a comment.  You can also see all of the great projects using this set too! I knew I wanted a "clean" look for my card, and I have been itching to use this die for a while now.  After I die cut the card stock, I started creating my scene, and then colored in the images using Copic markers.  I added some pattern paper, stamped the sentiment and stars, then popped up the die cut with some foam squares.  I finished the card off by adding some Lawn Fawn hemp trimmings. Lawn Fawn: Dewey Decimal

Image
We are on Day 2 of the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week.  The designers are showcasing projects using the Dewey Decimal line of pattern papers & stickers.  I decided to make a Mini-Book from when my husband came home from a deployment.  I'm showing a few of the pages today.  To me, mini books are the perfect way to scrap a special day or occasion.  They are so fun to make! For a chance to win the entire paper line, head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog and leave a comment!!  Plus, you can check out all of the great projects created today. I didn't want to use the brown stickers, so I changed the color by using a Copic marker. Lawn Fawn: Happy Day

Image
Today, is Day 1 of the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week.  The next few days we will be showcasing new stamps and paper that just debuted at Summer CHA.  The stamp sets being showcased today are, A Birdie Told Me & Happy Everything.  A Birdie told me is a fun speech bubble set, with a few fun characters included, and Happy Everything is a perfect companion set to Sophie's Sentiments (but would absolutely stand alone too) in that awesome Lawn Fawn font that we all love.  The cool thing, is that the sentiments from Happy Everything fit perfectly into the A Birdie Told Me bubbles! I decided to make a cute little card.  The owl is from Critters in the Forest , which I colored in using Copic Markers, and the papers are from the new paper line called Dewey Decimal.   Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog , and make sure to leave a comment.  Lots of great stamps and paper will be given out this week!!  You will also get to see all of the great projects...

Grateful for You, and a giveaway!!

The entire Avocado Arts team is posting today.  We are using the current August set, and sneaking in the September set.  My children started back at school yesterday, so I have Teacher cards on my brain.  I created a background by stamping the dragonfly, colored the apple in with Copic markers, and stamped the sentiment on a little white banner.  A nice, classy card ready to give to a Teacher. Visit the rest of the girls to see what they have created.  You could win a new mini stamp set!! American Made

Image
Today, I get to show a few projects using the new stamp set called American Made by Becky Oehlers for GinaK Designs .  In honor of my children going back to school today (11th & 6th grades), I made a card and tag ensemble, perfect for any teacher.   I don't want to get side tracked on school, but, I am kind of freaking my beans that my youngest just started Jr. High today.  Also, that my oldest is in the 11th grade.  When and how did I become the parent of "old" kids?  I remember when I was the mom with the young kids...I digress... Back to the projects lol. Make sure you take a hop to all of these ladies blogs, to see what they created with this set!!  To see the American Made stamp set in full, check out the Clear Set here , and the Red Rubber Set here . Lawn Fawn & SRM Stickers: A Happy Day

Image
Lawn Fawn has teamed up with SRM Stickers today and tomorrow for a fun blog hop.  Both teams are using each others products to create some great projects.  Make sure you head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog for more projects, as well as leaving a comment to win a fun prize.  Also, head on over to the SRM blog to see what they have cooked up and what their giveaway is. For my card, I used the arrow, scalloped border & striped tag stickers from SRM, and paired it with some new Lawn Fawn product.  I have to say, SRM stickers are very easy to work with.  I am a new fan...stickers usually scare me a little bit.  The pattern papers, and happy day sticker are from the Lawn Fawn Dewey Decimal Paper Line (available late August), and added some natural twine as well.  I forget how fun it is to make a scrappy card.  It isn't as easy as it looks lol, this baby took me a little bit of time to make, but I am so happy with the results.  For me the c...
