Happy Thoughts

Image
If you are a person who loves to color, coloring in this image was so therapeutic.  Currently I have family and friends who have had to evacuate their homes in CA, due to wildfires.  I have been addicted to updates online and on television.  So to sit down, and just color was so good for my soul.  Plus, who doesn't love to color in a flower, it is just happiness. The images was stamped onto white cardstock, using black ink.  Make sure you use an ink that is compatible with whatever your coloring medium is.  Then I colored in the image with copic markers.  I added a few enamel dots for added interest and embellishments, and adhered the panel with foam squares for depth.   This set is called Sunny Flowers from Technique Tuesday .  Its a 3 x 4 inch stamp set, with this large image, a lady bug, a few sentiments and a coordinating die set.  To see the full reveal head on over to the Technique Tuesday blog ! Hello friends! Today is the start of the sneak peaks for the Technique Tuesday August release.  This stamp set has really cool vintage traveling icons/images with great sentiments called Adventure Awaits. For this card I stamped the globe in black ink, colored it in with copic markers, stamped the sentiment and then added twine to embellish.  Its a simple design, and actually a perfect masculine card. Hello there! I am so excited to share this card with you today! Technique Tuesday has another day of stamps and dies being showcased.  I am sharing the Butterly on the border die .  I placed the die along the edge of the card, secured it into place (washi tape) then ran it through the die cutting machine.  This left the card with a beautiful edge with a cut butterfly and embossed image.  I placed a piece of pink cardstock behind the front of the card to help make the border pop. Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday in your part of the world. Again today I am sharing a new stamp set from Technique Tuesday that will be released in a few days.  This is called Simon & Sally Seahorse stamp , it also has a coordinating die set.   I started by using a MISTI tool and stamping each image a few times in black ink, to ensure a nice stamped image onto the water color paper. The watercolor colors are a combination of Daniel Smith and Prima colors. Once the watercolor panel was dried, it was adhered to the card using foam adhesive and embellished with novo drops. Hello friends! Our friends over at T echnique Tuesday , are releasing a few new stamp and dies sets for July.  Today I am sharing a card using the Bugs & Kisses stamp set.  I gravitated towards the bumblebee image, so I created a simple watercolored background and watercolored in the bumblebee as well.   To see the full stamp set reveal, head on over to the Technique Tuesday Blog to check it out, as well as the other stamp/dies being showcased today.

Life Without You

Hello Friends! I hope you all are ready for a new and fun week! Currently I am across the US in California, but I wanted to share this card I recently made.  One night I was just playing around with stamps and watercolors, and this is what I ended up with.  Watercoloring is a fairly new medium for me, so I try to stretch myself creatively as much as I can.  Just a little bit of flowers to brighten your day! I used the Simply You Stamp Set from Technique Tuesday to create this card.  I stamped the images with VersaFine onyx black ink, because once it dries its waterproof.  Then watercolored over the images with Daniel Smith water colors, and embelished with ribbon. Also! Head on over the Animal House section of Technique Tuesday, and as well as the Technique Tuesday Blog . Head on over to the blog and leave a comment. In a few days they will pick a winner from the comments to win the giveaway!  How fun is that? All you do is leave a comment!! ...
