Simple thank you cards

Image
Hello there!! Can you believe it, I made something and blogged...WOOT! After 19 days of visitors, and my entire family getting sick, we are all starting to be on the mend, and as of this morning my Dad left, so all our visitors are gone.   Now it is time to get back into a routine.  My children still have a week left of break, so I am hoping to get a few fun things in with them. Now that Christmas is over, it is time to get those "thank you", stamps out to send thank you cards for all of those fantastic presents you received.  I plan on making super simple cards.  Here I took out some Basic Grey pattern paper, Hero Arts clear stamps & some Jillibean Soup pre-scored cards & envelopes.  I have to say, this was my first time using Hero Arts clear stamps, and I was really impressed, thumbs up in my book. Super, duper easy folks! Trim down some pattern paper, stamp your sentiment, and I added some white dashes using a gel pen. I think I might grab my corner ...

Lawn Fawn Oct. sneak: Winter Bunny

Image
Today is the last day of the Lawn Fawn October sneaks. This cute little fella is a single stamp called Winter Bunny. I stamped the bunny and colored it in with Copic markers.  I know a lot of you might be afraid to color or use Copics, but with a little practice you will love them.  Because this is a smaller image, it was very easy to color in!  The snowflakes are from the Frosties set, shown yesterday, and the tag (and sentiment) are from the Bow and Holly stamp set, shown just the other day.  The fun die cut the bunny and snowflakes are on was cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Labels Seventeen die set.  To give the card some dimension, I popped the bunny up with foam tape.  The label die cut, is also popped up with foam tape, it is much easier to adhere a label over ribbon if it is popped up. Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog , and leave a comment to win this set. Also, visit the rest of the design team for more great projects with this cute winter bu...

Swimsuit season

Happy Friday Folks! It is hot here, (and I like the heat) however, boy am I thankful for air conditioning. I am thinking the pool later. Here is another card I made using the Swimsuit Season stamp set from Lawn Fawn . The July releases are now available. Did you know Eclectic Paperie is now carrying Lawn Fawn stamps? How cool is that! Okay onto the card, I cut some canvas out using a Spellbinders Labels Four Nestabilities ®   I chose not to emboss the canvas, but it would have looked beautiful if I did, I was just trying to keep things simple :)  I stamped the image with Memento ink & then colored it in using Copic markers.  Remember, when you color with Copic markers onto fabric, the ink will spread out/bleed, so have a light touch.  To make the label stand out a little, I popped it up with foam tape.  The fun pattern paper, is the new Olivia line from Basic Grey.
