Happy Birthday

If you are a fan of the critters that Lawn Fawn creates, then you are going to love this new set!  Its called Concert Critters, and they are playing instruments! So adorable! I started by coloring the background of the panel, doing a was of brown and blue.  Next the images were stamped onto watercolor paper and water colored in.  Instead of using the dies that perfectly coordinate with the set. I chose to fussy cut the images to get as close to the border as possible.  Once the panel was dry, the sentiment and music notes were stamped in black ink.  The critters and stand were adhered to the card front using foam adhesive. To embellish further Aquatic Mist Nuvo drops were added. Once the card was complete, it needed something.  Applying Wink of Stella in clear was the perfect choice! Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog for more great inspiration, as well as a chance to win the latest release!!

Wishing You Love

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a watercolored card with you today.  For this particular card, I new I was going to be using pigmented water colors (sennelier) and a lot of water, so I used Arches water color paper. This card probably took 2 days to create, only because I fully allow the paper to dry before adding additional color, when I don't want colors to bleed into each other.  Some of the red and yellow did, because I laid those colors at the same time. The images and sentiment are in the Lily Wishes stamp set (now on sale) from Technique Tuesday.  I love coloring in their florals with watercolors! To embellish I added clear Nuvo drops. materials used Technique Tuesday Lily Wishes stamp set Sennelier water colors Da Vinci water color brush Arches water color paper kraft card stock foam adhesive

Made for each other

Hello friends!  Another day and another card to share.  To see the full reveal of this stamp set, head on over to the Technique Tuesday blog. I kind of had in my mind how I wanted to use this die and stamp set, thats always fantastic and a sign of a great product.  I started by adding color to watercolor paper, using pink, red, purple and aqua Zig pens.  I did the same to the base of the card, using the same water color paper and pens. Once the watercolor was dry-ish, I stamped the sentiment onto the card bas, then diecut the heart a few times.  I adhered it to the card using foam tape.  Using the remaining diecut, using the center piece of the puzzle (and a different color), I adhered it to the heart using foam adhesive. To embellish, pink sparkly Nuvo drops were used. All of the Technique Tuesday March products are now available, on the new products page.

Hello friends, today I am sharing a card using the Cherry Blossoms stamp set from Technique Tuesday .  This is Day 1 sneak peak of the March release. For this card, I stamped the cherry blossom main image onto white card stock.  Next, using Zig water color pens and an aqua brush, I water colored the images.  I know these are not typical cherry blossom flower colors, but with spring on the way, I was feeling that they needed a vibrancy.  Once the paper was dry, I cut along the bottom of the image at a diagonal, adhered foam tape onto the back panel and sat it aside.   Next, I trimmed white card stock, stamped the sentiment in black ink, and adhered the panel to aqua card stock.  I then added the colored image panel, adhered it and to finish, I added a few pink Nuvo drops. I am still what I would consider a novice at using the Zig water color pens, but they are extremely user friendly if you are on the fence about getting them.
