Welcome Little One

Image
Hello friends! I am in the process of figuring out where the last few months of blog posts went. But for now I have a  card welcoming a little one. This stamp set is called Swan Soiree from Lawn Fawn .  To get the clouds look like a gradient. I masked off the edges of the white cardstock. Then ink blended the panel using very light blue inks. The bottom has more of a blue green hue. Using the Cloud stencil from Lawn Fawn, rotating it in a different direction and applying a darker blue hue. I like to use the ink blending brushes from Taylored Expressions, but you can use your favorite to achieve the same look.  The swan and duck were stamped in black ink onto white cardstock and colored in with copic markers, and then set aside.  The sentiment was stamped in black ink, the pond was stamped in a turquoise ink, and the plants were stamped in green ink.  To finish the card, twine was tied around the front panel then adhered to the card front us...

Bun In The Oven

Image
Hi Friends! Just a clean and simple card today, with a technique.  I used 3 different inks and a mini blending tool, to create the background. The trick is to use the ink lightly and to keep building it up until you like the color.  This does take a little bit of time to create a seamless blend, but its worth it.  I stamped the sentiment in black ink, as well as the images.  I colored the images in with copic markers, cut them out and then adhered them to the card using foam adhesive.  To embellish, I added some twine in the corner. Lawn Fawn: Little Bundle

Image
Hello there!  Yay its Friday!! The Lawn Fawn design team is starting the March Inspiration week and the stamp set we are showcasing today is the Little Bundle and coordinating dies sets. If you click on over to the Lawn Fawn blog , you will see all of the projects in one place, as well as getting the chance to win todays products. I don't know about you, but it seems like a lot of people I know are either pregnant or just having a baby lol.  So this stamp set is perfect timing for me and all of the baby cards I need to make.  To create the background on the pink card stock, i stamped the images using Versamark ink.  VersaMark is a watermark ink pad, which is really cool.  I paper pieced the little dress using the Lawn Fawn plaid pattern paper, and the sentiment is actually two different stamps, there is another stamp that says "baby boy" so this is a very versatile set.  It is for boys and girls.

My first project is a baby card that I tried to make gender neutral, using soft pastel colors.  The hanging stars were stamped using the It's The Little Things stamp set in sweet corn ink.  The sentiment and image were stamped in black ink, and then the fox was colored in using alcohol markers.  I added a little bit of glitter glue to a few of the stars for a sparkly embellishment. My second project is a card using the Vertical Greetings stamp set.  I stamped the image and sentiment in black ink, then co...
