Lawn Fawn: Mermaid For You

I may have let out a little gasp and sigh when I first saw the images of this stamp set.  Few things are more magical than a mermaid.  The sentiments are so cute and punny and really just make me happy. I am talking about the new summer release from Lawn Fawn called Mermaid for You stamp and coordinating die set. I love making shaped cards, and I knew this was going to be a circle card.  So that was my starting point.  I stamped the images, and then started coloring in the different mermaids and sea creatures.  This was how I determined the color scheme and matched the card stock accordingly.  Since this is a stamp and coordination die set, it made it easier to create depth by die cutting a few images and popping them up using foam adhesive.  I use foam adhesive on every project I create, it really creates the perfect amount of depth that prevents a project from looking too flat.  The sea grass was created by stamping different tones of a...

Hello there! I know lots of you out there are sending your children off to school this week (and last), well in the south at least.  That means fall is right around the corner!  Living in Florida means summer kind of drags out to October, so fall here is just a few weeks.  But it truly is fantastic!  Warm days, cooler nights and no humidity. Anyhow, fall means fall projects.  Like Halloween, back to school, Thanksgiving, celebrating the harvest! Lawn Fawn is in the middle of August Inspiration Week, and everything has been fall themed.  Today is no different, as I am showcasing a stamp/die set called Happy Harvest.  Again don't hate me, I'm seriously addicted to this pillow box die, but I made a few pillow boxes using the Happy Harvest stamp set. Lawn Fawn: Wheelie Like You & Gingham Backdrops

You know how you first see a stamp set, and you are just so excited...that it even exists because it makes you happy?  That is how I felt when I first saw this mini stamp set from Lawn Fawn called Wheelie Like You.  I mean who doesn't love a hamster?  So cute! Cut/score card stock to create a card base. 2. Repeatedly stamp the Gingham Backdrop stamp in Mermaid ink, until the white panel is covered.  This creates your own personalized background paper. 3. Diecut lime paper using the stitched circle die. 4. Stamp sentiment in black ink onto the diecut. 5. Stamp hearts onto the diecut. 6. Lawn Fawn: Let's Play & Cupcake Wrappers

For some reason my blog post never went live the last few days, so I am combining them today! I am sharing a few Lawn Fawn projects using the new stamps set called Let's Play & a scalloped circle cupcake wrapper! Head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog, to stay up to day on all of this weeks going ons, to see great projects & for a chance to win some cool product. For this first project, I created a cute little basket using the cupcake wrapper die from Lawn Fawn.  I adhered the wrapper closed, then added a circle die cut to the bottom, added ribbon & put chocolates into the basket. This card was created by using the new stamp set called Let's Play.  It really is so adorable and has cute little critters hanging out at the park, with the most fun sentiments.  Once I stamped & diecut the images, I colored them in using Copic markers, and adhered them to the card.

Lawn Fawn & Add A Little Dazzle Blog Hop

  Today is Day 4 of the Lawn Fawn & Add A Little Dazzle Blog hop.  I decided to play around with some Lawn Fawn dies, with the Add A Little Dazzle foil sheets, to create a tag. Instructions: 1.   Die cut yellow foil sheet using the stitched journal card die. 2.   Emboss diecut. 3.   Die cut teal foil sheet using a banners die. 4.   Adhere to embossed diecut using 3D Foam squares. 5.   Die cut pink foil sheet using Louie's Alpha with the "h & i" letters. 6.   Adhere letters to the banner using 3D Foam Squares. 7.   Die cut pink foil sheet using the heart dies. 8.   Adhere heart diecuts to the tag using Dodz small. 9.   Punch hole at the top of the tag. 10. For my project today, I decorated a glassine bag filled with one of my favorite teas from England.  Wrapping a gift with twine and a cute tag make me happy, and I hope this makes the recipient happy as well. Are there any of you out there with children about to graduate or have friends/family members that are about to graduate?  Between my daughter about to graduate, and the influx of graduation announcements arriving on a daily basis... I need a lot of graduation gifts and cards! This week the designers from Lawn Fawn are going to be showcasing brand new, never before seen stamp sets & dies on their projects.  Today, the card I am sharing is using the stamp set called I Love You S'more.  For a chance to win this set, as well as to see a ton of inspiration using this set, head on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog . Today, I get to share a project using the Lawn Fawn Penelope's Blossoms stamp set, which happens to have a die set to match.  This is a building set, which means you have endless possibilities creativity wise. Lawn Fawn: Large Stitched Journaling Card

Today, I am sharing a fun and quick project I made, using the Large Stitched Journaling Card die set, from Lawn Fawn.  Whether you call it Pocket Scrapbooking or Project Life, this set is soooo perfect!  Since it is a metal die set, you will need some type of die cut machine to use the dies.  This set will allow you to customize your pocket scrapbooking pages to your liking, instead of being tethered to a pre made set.  I love all of the possibilities I can do! Welcome to the April Inspiration Week over at Lawn Fawn.  Today, the designers are showcasing a stamp set called Critters from The Past.  The critters sets, are always so cute, and very popular.  I love all of the dinosaurs in this set.  It reminds me of when my children were little and completely obsessed with dinosaurs. Today, I decided to made a tag using the Tag You're It Lawn Cuts, using some Let's Polka pattern paper, as well as the Birthday Tags stamp set.  I really love layering tags together, it gives the project a little extra depth not to mention the pop of green. My daughter and several of her friends are obsessed with all things American and patriotic.  From Bald Eagles to the movie Top Gun, they live, breathe and sweat red, white and blue.  It could be that we live in the south, or that most of them come from Military families.  Whatever the case they LOVE their country.  So, I decided to make a fun card for her to give to one of her friends when they are having a down day. Lawn Fawn: Lets Roll

The next few days, Lawn Fawn will be showcasing the latest release of stamps, dies and paper!  Today the designers are using the Lets Roll stamp and coordinating die set. For my project today, I wanted to make a treat bag for a friend who loves sushi!  The rolls of sushi are so freaking cute, especially with the different smiley faces to stamp on them!! Instructions: 1.  Die cut tag with white cardstock. 2.  Stamp sentiments in black ink onto the tag. 3.  Stamp/die cut sushi rolls. 4.  Color in rolls using Copic markers. 5.  Stamp smiley faces onto the sushi. 6.  Add glitter using a glitter pen and stickles. 7.  Adhere the sushi diecut to the tag using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam squares. 8.  Wrap ribbon around the bag, tie in a knot. 9.  Run twine through the tag hole, and through the button, knot to secure. Lawn Fawn: Winter Sparrow & Happy New Year

After I stamped the images and colored them in.  I went over the leaves & scarfs in stickles. To me this makes the card extra festive.  The New Year tag is perfect to put on a gift, maybe a bottle of champagne.
